Shadowbrook Inn & Resort
About
Nestled within the foothills of the Endless Mountains, Shadowbrook Inn & Resort enjoys beautiful scenery that perfectly complements the enjoyable round. The par-3 holes are especially scenic. The lush, rolling terrain provides interesting elevation changes that come into play, especially on the slightly tougher front nine holes. Golfers are quickly introduced to the challenges of the golf course with accurate drives being required on several holes of the first half but the back nine is much gentler, it is no less fun though. There are also some straight, uphill holes that golfers will have to contend with on the back nine. One of the golf course's most memorable holes is the par-3 16th, which is a tricky downhill hole that is one of the few that plays over water.

good course
greens in great shape, course in good shape considering lack of rain worth trying out
Always a great play.
Shadowbrook is an hour south of my house and yet I've played it 6 times this season. This is an older, yet well maintained resort. The bar/restaurant is consistently good and the staff friendly. The somewhat spartan "pro shop" is in a separate building, to the left of the main complex. Carts are gas powered and generally well maintained, if a little aged. The course is usually in nice shape (especially the greens). The traps could use a touch more sand but are otherwise decent. The front 9 is mostly flat and open and the back 9 hilly and tighter. Shadowbrook is a Geoffrey Cornish design, making it well worth the trip and your time.
Highly Recommend This Course
Had a wonderful day playing at Shadowbrook. Great course, very challenging and enjoyed my experience. Staff was fantastic.
Late Season Round
Course was in very good shape. They were still watering fairways. Pace of play was great, my friend and I played the course in 3 and a half hours.
Staff was friendly as usual.
Great course for the price.
Will be playing here again.
Fall outing
Fall is my favorite time to play golf weatherwise & I know the leaves can be a challenge but the Shadowbrook grounds crew keeps them to a minimum. The course is in great condition so get out & enjoy the colors of fall & hit that ball!!!
Comfortable course
I play a lot of courses in NE Pa and find this one In great condition every time I play there. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Amazing
With a busy season this year the course is in amazing condition. The fairways are cut regularly, the rough is manageable and the greens roll true.
Best bang for the buck in the area.
good course, fair price
The greens were being aerated that day. There were piles of sand on the greens that needed to be swept or blown off. Usually a great place to play but not that day. Will continue to golf this course. Not always like this.

Great time.
I had a great time.I met and played with a very friendly couple. I always meet new and very nice people when I play here.
nice course
This course is nice to have in your backyard. It's nothing fancy but it's well maintained and the price is fair. The staff is friendly and they allow kids to play for free which is not like most other courses around. The bar and restaurant is a very good and a nice addition. I enjoy playing here.
Great golf day!
Such a beautiful day on the course. The course was busy that's why the pace of play was a bit slow. Course in good condition. Course could have used a trim. Challenging but fun. Bogey's bar very good end to a round!
Beautiful Course
The course is stunning. Long fairways, and perfectly maintained greens. The 16th hole is incredible, teeing off from a high elevation over a pond, nothing short of incredible. My father and I paid about 17 each through Golf Now, but I easily would've paid more 18 holes on this beauty. Will return without a doubt.
Great deal, course in great shape
You can't beat the price of $15 with fees for 18 holes with a cart. Staff was friendly, course is not too difficult and in great shape. The weather was perfect and play was very fast...no wait on any holes. We were surprised the course was not wet after recent rainy weather. We will definitely be back to enjoy this course again soon!
