Pace of Play
They overbooked, plain and simple. Then they denied it and blamed it one the fact that they're the 'no. 1 course on golfnow.' Playing for 6 + hours is not normal (as he alleged) nor appropriate. They ran out of carts, so there were 3 or more tee times waiting (past their tee time) for carts to come in as we made our turn. It's one thing to have an unorganized day, but to say it's normal and blame other factors for the mgmnt's mistakes is frustrating.
Great Public Course
The course was fairly well kept overall. A lot of elevation changes and a few tricky greens made the course moderately challenging. Pace of play was poor but for the reasonable cost, this course was well worth it
Late tee time= Behind league
Had to play behind a women's league, wasn't able to finish 18
It sounds like you didn't enjoy your round with us at Pheasant Ridge and we're so sorry to hear that! We do have a lot of leagues during the week in the evening but we would love for you to come out an enjoy the course another time!
Pheasant Ridge
First time I played this course and was very pleased. Booked a 7:06 tee time the night before and got out by myself a little before 7 as the first golfer of the day. And nobody teed off after me for at least 15 minutes so basically I had the course to myself. Finished 18 holes in 2 hours 45 minutes - amazing! The course was in great shape and the $29 fee for the round and cart was terrific. Very friendly staff as well. I'd highly recommend this course.

Will be back
Greens were very smooth but a little bit slow.. Some odd holes, feels like your hitting down hill to a lot of greens.. Lot of holes you don't need to hit driver. Overall, a nice, short, tight course. Will be back again

The course was in good condition considering the abundance of rain we have had this summer. The traps needed attention, many were filled with water and not raked. The course is not very long but If you spray the ball it can be a challenge.

Another disappointing round
I have been playing pheasant Ridge since it was a nine hole course unfortunately this year I have been playing pheasant Ridge since it was a nine hole course unfortunately this year it has become a playground for kids and beginners I'm all for promoting Golf there's a time and a place The last four rounds of been behind Fivesoms with children and beginners it's very frustrating when it takes five or 5 1/2 hours to play I've talk to the management about it but they don't seem to care I hope something changes because I like playing the course very much but I won't be going back unless that does change

July, 10th was a very busy day for us! For your next round, would you consider calling the pro-shop and checking with the staff to see what kind of volume the course is at for the day? We want you to continue playing with us but we also don't want to turn away any golfers! We think this could help you find the best time to play for you to enjoy our course again! Over crowded but great round
Really enjoy the par threes. Round took about 5.5 6 hours only bc it was super super crowded every tee time was sold. Like the atmosphere in the clubhouse great beers on tap. Sand traps could use a bit of work but its a public course ao u cant expect much. The par fives are challenging for the avg golfer and can be reached in two for better players.

Greatest course in Pittsburgh
i am a visitor from Chicago but I have played most of the better courses in the Pittsburgh area. This course is hands down the best public course in the area. It is s hidden gem. If you want a great day of golf, go to pheasant ridge. You will love everything about it.

Nice but....
Followed a threesome that was very slow, and did not let us play through. Additionally, 90° day, no water on the course and no beverage cart.
Thank you for the great 4-star review but we're sorry to hear you didn't have an excellent round. We will pass along the concern about no water or beverage cart, we don't want that to happen again. We hope you give us another shot and come back out soon!
Smooth greens. Lot of birdie and pars

They need to enforce golf etiquette more proactively
Love this course. It's in great shape! Play here a lot.
Warning: Weekends get VERY crowded and they let anyone and everyone on. Dress code is non existent, (we saw a guy with overalls and no shirt)! Impatient players will hit into you a lot! Happened 2 times in one week.
That being said it's still my favorite place to golf.

Nice course, friendly staff, carts paths a little rough
The course is in nice shape with the exception of the cart paths but then again who hits off the paths? If you have a bad back it's a good idea to stay off the paths.
The staff is very friendly and easy to deal with, the greens were medium speed, yet putted very true. This course has lot's of character with many different types of holes.

Best course I played so far
I'm playing since 3 years and Typically as a beginner I play the affordable courses near my home. These are normally not in the best condition. This time I decided to drive a little bid and I was not disappointed. Very nice course and a friendly bartender. Very well maintained with awesome greens and fairways. Very quite course with lots of nature.

Pittsburgh's Hidden Gem!!!!
If you live in the greater Pittsburgh area and haven't played out here yet.. YOU ARE MISSING OUT!! I used to play out here back when the course first opened and it was awesome then! Now that the course has settled, the greens have become more receptive, roll true and if they cut and roll watch out.. They are quick! Course is in country club shape! Do yourself a favor and book a tee time!! The guys inside are hospitable, and make sure each and every person is enjoying the experience to the fullest!!

Perfect condition
What a wonderful day for golf. The Golfnow price was great and the course was in tremendous shape. Met the owner who seems like a really great guy. Very friendly and welcoming! Only complaint was the speed of play but there is only so much that the course management can do with that! Really backed up behind some VERY slow play. Once around them the course was nice and open.... Greens were wonderful!
