Excellent value
This was one of the nicest, most interesting courses I have played in the last few years. Fun and challenging. Total value.
Centrally located for north hills.
My experience at the course was very good but there were too many singles not paired up.
BEAUTIFUL DAY IN PENNSYLVANIA
This course is challenging with tree lined fairways, was in excellent condition with fair greens and just the right amount of sand and water. Day moved quickly considering it was fathers day and the course was full. If you haven't played it I recommend you add it to the list of courses along the Rt 8 and Route 228 corridor.
great condition!
the course is in awesome condition since the new owner took over and he is a great and friendly guy with lots of ideas to move the course forward
Fun Fun Fun
Everything about this course can just be described in three words, FUN FUN FUN. The staff, the course and the folks I was paired with.
The course was in good shape.
The young woman in the clubhouse taking the reservation was LESS than cordial. Although the course was in good shape and it was a great day to golf it was very slow play. If there were a ranger on the course our play time would've been less that 5hrs. . We actually got to be friendly with the couple in front as we had to wait so long to tee off.
Great experience
I played an early round on Friday morning and was excited to be getting a round in during the week and was even more excited after talking to the owner, Mike.
Mike was full if enthusiasm talking to us about the course, things to look out for and what to expect when playing. He was the consummate professional and if you go to Pheasant Ridge, try to spend a few minutes with Mike as your experience for the day will instantly become enriched.
The course is well kept and the greens are very reasonable and also well maintained. If you are a good golfer, play from the blues in order to make your day a bit more challenging. The course is short enough for even an average player to test their mettle.
Are there better layouts in the area? Yes. But next time you are thinking about trying a new course or even revisiting one you haven't been to in awhile, try Pheasant Ridge.
Course was in great shape, pace was a bit slow
Played 9 holes as a single and had to wait ~10 minutes at just about every tee box and at least 5 at all other shots. The 9 holes took 2 hours 20 min, for a single, riding. I attribute this mainly to a league being on the course ahead of me. However, the club house could have easily sent me to the back nine to relieve this constant waiting. Other than that snafu the course was in great shape. Some bunkers had some water pooled in them but there has been a lot of rain lately and that is typical for the area. Course has a nice layout, good mix of different types of holes, due to the shorter overall length a number of holes force you to layup but in a good way, you'll use most of the clubs in your bag at this course.
Worth your time and money
We found the course to be quite challenging and well kept. The new owners were very friendly and helpful. The started at hole 1 was equally as friendly and did his job very professionally. I would recommend this course to any type of golfer. We will be returning to golf this course. A JOB WELL DONE BY ALL EMPLOYEES !!!!!
Course management
Really really slow. They need to pair people up to speed up pace of play.
Stay out of the sand
This was the second time I have played this course. From T Boxes to greens the play was excellent. Everything was lush and green. The greens were well groomed and played fast. The sand traps were the only draw back. They were hard and some contained water. The play on the course was great and we moved at a good pace with any group pushing us. I will play this course in the future. It is a beautiful course.
Good Value
I've played this course many times and it doesnt disappoint. Pace was slow yesterday, but I feel that can be an issue at any course. Greens were in great shape and rolling nice.
Diamond in the rough
Because of its location off the beaten path PheasantRidge is a gem to those who know it exists. It is a well thought out challenging course and the landscape is beautiful. Combine the breathtaking surroundings with great ownership and friendly staff you have a wonderful golf experience even if the scores ddon't reflect it.
Beautiful course
The fairways were green and lush, nicely cut. The greens were the nicest I've played all year, beautifully manicured and putted true. Great value, can't wait to play again.
Pleasant Surprise
If they did some marketing Pheasant Ridge would have a 3-hr waiting list every day. Great layout - toughest Par 3s from the tips I've ever played - I'm coming back in Spring! Truly great layout!
Fun, Wooded Course
Course is always well-maintained with fast greens. Very nice in the summer and fall. Foliage is very nice this time of year,
Course was great and in good shape for the time of year.
Great time and great course. Course was tough but fair. Me and my friends will play again next year.
Really a great change for the better recently
Been coming to this course for many yrs and it is usually in very good condition for the time of year. Love the greens and it is tight on many holes, so hit em straight
Love this course!
Play here fairly regularly and always have a good time.
