Pocono Hills Golf Course
About
Surrounded by the Pocono Mountains, the Pocono Hills Golf Course (formerly Fernwood Resort & Country Club) was carefully carved from wooded hillsides. Condos and other residences were later built near the golf course and although they are situated quite close, the round is still enjoyable. The layout is tight with narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The front nine is easier than the back where more dramatic elevation changes come into play. Many of the greens have elevations of over 50 feet, making approach shots a formidable test. There are also a number of tricky doglegs that are practically 90 degree turns. The layout rewards straight, accurate drives and the greens putt fast and true. There are a number of challenging holes, especially the 10th and 14th, but overall Pocono Hills Golf Course is approachable enough for all skill levels.

For experienced golfers only
Course was well-maintained, but it appears as a natural area that was forced into being a golf course. Too tight and too many blind shots. If you want to challenge yourself and improve your short game or strategy, this place is ideal. But it’s definitely not for big hitters, and definitely not for beginners. Bring a healthy supplies of balls.
Course is in Great shape
Nice lay out fairways and greens are in great condition .
The course was in great condition nice layout would definitely play again
Nice course
Very nice course. Somewhat short but also tight on many holes. The par 3's are fairly long. Greens and fairways are in good shape. Tee off price was awesome. Would play again
Not as Good as 1st Time
We played this course in June 2022, course was in great shape. Just played on Augusr 27th, 2022. Course is very dry, fairways are burnt, several tee areas are in need of grass. For the cost 98.00 for two, Pocono Hills Golf Course would have been a better value 64.00 for two, and is in better shape.
No Starter
Everything was good but no Starter. We just got in line, but it all worked out.
Old Fernwood is backb
This was Fernwood golf course awhile ago. It is now Pocono Hills and ut is fantastic Whatcgreat coutse to play challenging for every skill level. This course may become my home track its almost there. Ive playyed CCP just as many times as Pocono Hills and I like Pocono Hills more.
Good Day
Fast pace
Nice course, feels more like a public course than a “resort”
Not too difficult but challenging enough
Nice variety of holes and lengths
The vacation
I highly recommended, very good condition, the greens are fast but playable. You need to take advanced of the front nine because the back nine it’s very link style. It’s very challenge golf course. For sure if I got vacations in the poconos I gone play this course again.
