Pocono Hills Golf Course
About
Surrounded by the Pocono Mountains, the Pocono Hills Golf Course (formerly Fernwood Resort & Country Club) was carefully carved from wooded hillsides. Condos and other residences were later built near the golf course and although they are situated quite close, the round is still enjoyable. The layout is tight with narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The front nine is easier than the back where more dramatic elevation changes come into play. Many of the greens have elevations of over 50 feet, making approach shots a formidable test. There are also a number of tricky doglegs that are practically 90 degree turns. The layout rewards straight, accurate drives and the greens putt fast and true. There are a number of challenging holes, especially the 10th and 14th, but overall Pocono Hills Golf Course is approachable enough for all skill levels.

Nasty Greens
Course in great condition. Some of the greens are brutal if you have too much speed or you left your ball ion the wrong spot. But if you hit it right the greens are fine.
Very interesting course!
I like golf courses which are perfectly fitting into their environment. This one does. For a first time player it has too many blind shots. Anyway. I would play it again. And again.
not cookie cutter course
so much fun to play. course will bite you in spots.
challenging holes and memorable holes.
played early in less than 4 hours.
Great course
Could not pass up the hot deal n GolfNow. Friendly staff, and course is in great conditions. A must play again and again.
Playing in the Poconos
A good course for the money. Can get crowded and play can slow down . Sand traps can be like shy of sand and hitting out of them is often hard for the hi handy cap golfer . Stay in the fare ways for a good time.
Pocono Hills
Course was in very good condition considering the heat and lack of rain the last few weeks.
Fun Day
Arrived right at our Start Time and no problem getting out. Staff friendly. Played on Saturday and course was not overcrowded. Only slight complaint was no water available once out on the course... had to rely on mobile Food/Drink Cart.
Still best value in the Poconos
Great layout and challenging. Cheapest golf in the Poconos including the replay rate.
