Shep Hills looking better
Shep was always a fun kinda easy enough track but the conditions were a bit lacking. They’ve been sinking money into improvements and they’re starting to show. Fairways were over seeded, greens were rolled pretty nice overall. Tough to beat their 19th hole amenities and atomosphere. Good spot for a quick friendly post work 9 or with the buddies
Course
The course is very close to where I live which is very convenient for me to play.
Always a great round
This course is a “go to” and probably my favorite course in Lehigh Valley…it’s close to home, the greens and course conditions are always on point, and the staff is awesome! The Bar n grill has delicious food, cold beers, and wing nights! Great for golfing a round and dinner afterwards!!! Shepherd Hills continues to get better each year!
Not as tight as other reviews say
Length is on the short side making it ideal for shorter hitters. Although some of the fairways are narrow, the rough is plenty wide for players with issues not to loose balls. The course is intertwined with a residential neighborhood which is a little odd but fairways and greens were in nice condition. Greens were also on the small side as well as being fast and undulating making them challenging. My only complaints are that my cart was excessively jerky and there is no range here
Really rough shape
Generally like playing here, but it was really badly beat up - pretty much everywhere. LOTS of work needed to get ready for golf season. Will come back and try it again in a month or so.
Greens and Tees Upgraded
When the warm weather'gets here the condition of reseeded greens and upgrdaded tees is going to make this course a pure gem. Facilities upgrade to bar/ restaurants/ outdoor deck will be done and in full swing for a great season. WELL DONE
A great course to play
Greens are immaculate shape and fairways like a carpet its a phenomenal 👌 course to play
Greens were very receptive
Enjoyed my round with Jim, Woody & Roger as we teed off from three different tee boxes. They were very cordial to me! I believe the USGA should rate Shepherd Hills with higher slope numbers as it is a tricky course for me.
Great play
nice course with a variety of challenges. Course well kept
This course is good for beginners.
The course wasn’t very crowded, so the pace was much better than the last time we played here.
Decent course
There were some areas of the fairway that had standing water, the greens were slow but in good shape overall.
