good course lots of tight teeoffs
not bad of a course I'll give the course another try later on in the future and bring a couple friends wit me. Maybe I'll take some time on my next tour an try the dinning. The young lady at the desk was very helpful an friendly. The course was very challenging all the water an trees It was an adventure traveling on the trails and cart paths
Laughable
Unmanaged, unfriendly, would rather play mini golf. Wouldn't let me put no stars... Do not waste your time and money.
Get what you pay for
Overall the course was ok, but could use some serious improvements. Most of the tee boxes didn't even have grass. The only difference between the fairway and the rough was the length of the grass. For the most part the greens were in decent condition. The staff I encountered were polite and friendly.
Great staff, poor shape
Course is hard, mainly due to an odd layout and overgrown trees. paid 15 bucks so can't complain, but the tee boxes were disgusting. Greens were surprisingly in above average shape
Needs a lot of attention!!!
Thank God we only paid $15 through GolfNow. It's very overgrown!! The course is in need of some attention. The putting greens weren't to bad. Some of the signs for the holes were covered in bushes. I'm glad we did not bring our friends here. Plus the black flies and bugs were horrendous, even with spraying bug spray 3-4 times. We could not even finish 18 holes after 10 we were going to leave but we stuck it out for 15. I'm sure it could be a very nice course with some tender loving care!!
Nice views
went in got right on, no paperwork, staff is friendly and carts are in great shape. course was in good shape, taken care of. will play again. only 10 minutes from my house.
Deplorable tee areas
Staff seemed annoyed.. Bunkers had streams running though them and the greens were utterly deplorable.
great course6-21-13, poor treatment by staff
why offer such a great discount if you're going to treat your
customers like second class citizens.
great course for someone who wants to be challenged

extraordinary course
great course for someone who wants to be challenged.
This is the best shape the course has ever been in.
We had a perfect day. The course was not crowded at all so we had a relaxing day. The course was in great shape. The best value in the area for the money.
Course needs work but great value
If your someone who expects a perfect fairway and green this is probably not the course for you. But if you're like me and are looking for an affordable and interesting course Cherry Valley may work for you.
I'll begin by saying some of the fairways can be a mess and the greens are hit or miss. Before complaining please keep in mind most green fees here can be had for less the $20. For this price you have to be reasonable. It's not fair to compare this course to places charging 5 times as much.
What you do get from this course is very unique holes. Whether it's a blind 140 yard lay-up on hole 2 or a 98 yard par three from an extremely elevated green on 17 there is a little bit of everything here. No boring holes lined up right next to each other. You really need all parts of your game to be sharp here. The front nine is very difficult and the back nine eases up a little.
Overall I wouldn't want to go here every time but if your looking to play around with the money in your pocket Cherry Valley is a value.
Good course for intermediate level
enjoy the course with well maintained green, very friendly staffs and reasonable fee. There is few charllenging holes. I will return to this course again.
Nice layout
Greens are very slow, tee areas not all mowed, rough to high but I guess we teed of early about 8:04am.
nice course
the course is a very nice course but its present condition ,mainly the tee boxes spoilt the round ,in better condition i would play it more often
Great day of golf with a friendly staff.
A great challenging course at a great Golf Now price.
Needs Proper Maintenance Done
The Tee Boxes were just dirt / mud and weeds! Very poor condition, the greens had been aerated, but other than that, they were nice. Some launch clearances can be better maintained from certain tee boxes to make the hole a little more playable. In general, the course id short and a good place to play your irons.
Also, there are a few holes with large collections of Power Lines and Towers that come into play; not good at all.
Shotmaker....
This is a fun course to play ... It is not a wide open driver, driver, driver course. More often than not, position is more important. Although some of the holes are shorter and could be reached from the white tees, greens are relatively small, and fairways are relatively narrow making it more a "shot makers" course. The Tee boxes do leave a lot to be desired, as most are bare dirt, unlike a review we had read stating the course had done much maintenance primarily targeting the Tee boxes. We did not see that evidence.
Bring spare balls...
Definately a course to play if you're ready to relax and just play a game. Absolutely worth the money as we paid less than half the rates as other courses.
Paid less than $20 to play... and it wasn't even worth that
I used to play Cherry Valley more frequently, but I had been playing other courses recently and decided to go back and give Cherry another shot. We played at the end of a week in which it did rain a decent amount, but the condition of the course was still inexcusable. The rough was so tall it was impossible to find your ball if you hit it in there and the fairways were nothing to write home about either. To sum up my experience - both my father-in-law and I agree that if they told us we could play here for free, we would both decline and spend $50 to play elsewhere.
