OMG what a beautiful course
I can't say enough about the condition of this golf course. Absolutely perfect.
Beautiful Course
There was a small amount of course maintenance being conducted on 11. But it was not an active work site while we were playing. It did not interfere with the quality of the course. The only negative was that the foursomes were pushed out attacked in each other with what appeared as two large groups playing the course. Our tree time was moved forward which wasn't a problem except that we waited for the stacked foursomes and then other pairs were pushing to advance. It was still a great day on a very nice course.
OMG what a beautiful course
From tee to green this course is worth the drive out. I found the greens to be fast and true and hard to read. Wide open fairways and soft approachable greens. The food after playing was great. I had a fried baloney sandwich that reminded me of my younger days.
Very NIce Course with Slow Play
My wife and I played Linden Hall golf course. Very nice course layout...wide fairways, hills, elevated green. etc. Pace of play on front was acceptable, while the back nine was very slow. Unfortunately we ended up leaving after hole 14th since pace was very slow.
Well maintained and good value
I really enjoyed this course. The fairways and greens were both very well maintained, The cart paths were generally smooth and the carts were nice. The course layout itself is not overly exciting, but the landscape is very beautiful and there are some really gorgeous views.
With the exception of a couple of holes, the course is fairly wide open, but there is enough trouble to keep things interesting, and a couple of doglegs require getting distances about right. I managed to stay out of the sand, but several of the greens are bunkered, and the sand in the traps looked like it should, which is pretty rare for this area. The greens are very fast compared to the courses I usually play (although the greens on the courses I usually play are fairly slow). The rough was fair and well-kept as well: that is not the case for many courses around here.
At the standard rates, this course is much nicer than a course closer to me that is significantly more expensive. For what I paid today, I thought the course was a steal. I wish I lived just a bit closer to it!
