One of my favorites
Love playing grand view has a few challenging holes, fast greens long yes but easy to get around if you strike it solid. Will be playing it again soon.
Needs TLC
I want to start by saying if this course had a little maintenance it can be a great place to play. To start the tee boxes were in horrible condition with lots of bald spots. The fairways were hard to differentiate from the rough. Some of the holes were so badly laid out that we didn't know what green we were aiming at. you would look forward and see three different greens and with the inability to differentiate between the fairway and the rough you didn't know where to hit the ball. Most of the green side bunkers had no sand in them at all, nothing but dirt and rocks. The greens all though small where is surprisingly excellent condition. The cart paths were in horrible condition with huge pot holes please beware.
Where's The Grass?
Tee boxes, cart pathes and some areas around greens were in bad shape.
Hasn't been maintained since floods
This course is okay if you don't want any challenges. I won't even play it at discounted rates. They have barely maintained this course since the floods in 2011. The greens are flat and not challenging at all. No bunkers to protect them. Fairways are rough and hard to distinguish from the rough! Unless you don't wanna lose any balls and can't drive straight I wouldn't play here. This course should just close and build houses on it.
needs work
fair to poor course would not repeat
bunkers no sand in them
tee box horrific
holes way to close to each other - balls coming all over
Never Going Back
The course was one of the most poorly kept courses I have ever been to. There were several instances where my ball was on a bare lie in the fairway. That's if you could call it a fairway, it was thick and often there was no differentiation between the fairway and rough. Overall my experience with this course was terrible and I would not recommend this course to anyone.
Needs a little help
Storms and the creek have taken their toll on the holes around the creek but the green bunker on hole 1 has been under repair for 2 years now. They moved all the t-boxes forward by 20 yards which is fine, but they have not established decent t-boxes. They stuck 2 stakes in the fairway rough and called it "the new t-boxes". It felt like I was about to hit my t shot from my back yard cause the grass was not even cut lower. I play this course a lot and most of the time it is a lot nicer. It's a good course for the $. But c-mon guys, you can't play the winter excuse card anymore. It's almost may. Get out there and fix those things.
Old course, fairways close to each other.
Old design, straight out, straight back. Greens are in real nice shape and putt true.
CHALLENGING, WE REALLY ENJOYED PLAYING THERE.
UNFORTUNATLELY, THE FRONT 1ST 4 HOLES TOOK A BEATING DUE TO THE RECENT RAINS WE HAD. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE CLEANED IT UP AS WELL AS CAN BE EXPECTED.
Old school course.
Interesting and challenging. Fairways needed water, but the best greens I played all year.
Great course for the price
Greens were recently aerated but besides that nice course.
Nice old course.
Normally in very nice condition but lack of rain and very dry conditions have left the Tee Boxes and most Fairways very dry and hard
Needs maintenance
Except for greens, the tees and the fairways are poorly maintained. Their green fee is not reflective of the poor course condition.
Little bit of everything
Whole visiting family in the area, found this course close by. Fun course with a little bit of everything. Some long par 3's and short par 4's. A course you have to play if you find yourself in York, Pa.
Price can't be beat!
The staff was very friendly and was even kind enough to let my little one (9years old) tag along and tee off. Of course we couldn't hold anyone up but we knew about that as part of golf etiquette. He was ok with that and we were very appreciative. I will be going back many more times due to the price, friendliness, and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Grandview
Ken
Great for beginners
It was only my third time out when I went to Grandview. A large majority of the course consists of holes right next to each other so if you shank a shot you won't lose too many balls.
Enjoyable value but slow
Need roving rangers to keep slower groups on pace.
Great value for money spent
Good course to play in Spring, early Summer, and possibly the Fall. Without fairway irrigation, the fairways will get burnt out in the heat of the summer. For an older course it was a good value. Pretty wide open and a few interesting holes. Very fair course for the high handicapper
Old school course
Nice course
Old School design.
Greens are in very good condition.
Back nine only has 3 of each par-3,4,5-very interesting.
One ~ 600 yd par 5-ggod luck!
A good course for a nice relaxing round
Good conditions for early-mid spring. Some fairways are a little tight, but the course has lots of variety as to terrain. When we were there, a few of the tee boxes had longer grass, but other than that, pretty good condition.
