Classic old Donald Ross layout, utilizing the topographic features of the property without artificial manipulation. Recent tree thinning program (past 4 yrs) has resulted in opening up the beautiful vistas from atop "Crows Nest" and improving turf conditions enormously! CCY through the guidance of Andrew Green has developed a Master Plan to restore / complete Mr. Ross' original vision of his design. Every year members of the club invest in completing another facet of this diamond! From reconstructing bunker complexes and green surrounds, to expanding tee boxes and restoring green expanses back to original boundaries, it is evident that CCY is intent on maintaining its position as the preeminent private club in the area. I would say the only courses within 50 miles that can be compared to CCY are Lancaster CC and Baltimore CC. If you are lucky enough to get an invite to play, don't pass it up!

This is a beautiful course. It's just a shame that the workers that keep it so beautiful are forced to work in substandard conditions with pay that is barely over the poverty level. I don't want my money to support that kind of treatment in this economy, so I took my membership elsewhere and suggest that others do the same. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer thanks to people like the Superintendent of this club.
