Bad
Course was best around a few years ago now I'd rather play a mini golf course. Grass is all dead they don't go over greens had to putt between goose crap that was old hard and turning white.
Really Bad
The course was horrible. The tees were probably the best part of the entire course. The fairways were dry dead grass. It was like playing i=n the desert. The greens weren't much better. I understand we have not had a lot of rain in the month of July. But they could have watered the greens at least.
First a review of Golf Now...
An email I sent to Golf now, IF it even gets to someone there:
To whom it may concern,
This was the first time I used this app and May very well be the last.
I paid $35 each for a “hot deal” plus the fee of around $7. For a total of Approx $77.
When I got to Duck Hollow they said their normal daily rate is $29.95 per player for 18 holes w/ a cart. This would have cost me only $60, so I sure got a hot deal...??!!
Next the course review. Terribly dry course, hard, dry, dead grass, most greens are dry as well. Almost like playing off black top. I have played here many times over the past years and this was def the worst I have seen the course.
Good Course
Nice track will challenge just about everyon. Was played following some severe storms but the course was in great shape ready for play
Great course for the money.
For late fall the course was in great shape. Cart paths could use some help but I am sure they will take care of them in spring>
It wasn't busy, but
It wasn't busy, but it was not nice weather. Chilly and windy with a chance of rain. The course was nice. It did not look like the cups have been moved for a while though. There was grass growing in them. I never have seen that before.
One of the more difficult courses in western PA.
This course has challenging holes. The greens hold the ball very well and are quick. Requires precise iron play.
friendly, helpful staff. Very good course for the price
very good course for the price. It was fun to play
cart paths
The Cart Paths Are The Worst I Have Ever Seen! The Greens Are In Poor Condition. Grass From Mowing Was ThIck And Clumps All Over The Fairways And Fringe
great fairways and tees.
greens were nice but slow. traps and cart paths are in need of attention. tees and fairways were great
Great course for the value
Enjoyed the course .. We had 2 foursomes and the pace of play was great . Enjoyed and looking forward to going back .
Tiring
Generally only play this course once per year and it is a great course for the money, but can also be tiring. The undulations of some of the greens are quite frankly ridiculous for the amount of slope this course has.
really fun and challenging
The course is in really great shape, fringes,, greens and approaches were pristine. Doglegs, water, elevation changes all blend to make each hole fun to play. This is my 50 th year playing and this is a really good course. Some cart paths need some work but I'd rather have the great course conditions.
Cindy and the whole staff were great. Go play this gem and enjoy the day!
This course requires good shot-making skills and accurate shot placement!
Liked the course but it needs better cart paths, fairway definition, and aesthetics. Overall great layout and could be a superior course with a few corrections and additions. All -in-all, a great bang for the buck!
This course was in good shape and for the money was a great find!
The course was in good shape, nice tee boxes, fairways and greens. For an average golfer, mid-handicap, a great little short.
Tricky but not hokey
Fantastic scenery Some great holes. Overall well maintained Features a little of everything. Keep it in the fairway. We're told the greens needed a bounce short and roll approach, but the greens held every shot!
Best course around
The staff was very friendly and they obviously take pride in keeping their golf course in good shape. We will be back next time we are in the area, for sure.
