Decent course, terrible greens
For 20 bucks at 10am on Wednesday it was not a bad round. I feel like I got what I paid for. I would have been disappointed had I paid more. The fairways and rough were well cut and OB well marked. Some bunkers need some work but I stayed out of them today. I gave myself relief on an old green side bunker on 17 that was not marked but filled with rocky clay and appeared to be regrowing.
The course really left a lot to be desired on the greens. Very patchy and vary in length. Some holes were dead and short cut, and others were very long, slow greens. Many areas of no grass or active regrowth, even around some pins. Be prepared to hit 40+ putts here leaving some short and some 10 feet long.
All in all it wasn’t a bad round but I wouldn’t drive an hour back.
One slow foursome that slowed the pace but it wasn’t awful. 2.25 hr round.
Dry
The course was very dry for this time of year. A lot of the greens we burnt. Pace of play was better then excellent, did not wait one time to hit a shot.
PV
One cart per person. Ran out of carts so we walked front nine. Had more carts so we could ride back nine.
Greens in horrible shape.
It was like putting on a shag carpet. This was my first time playing here. So I don’t know if it’s always like this. Ruff was super thick also. You’ll pay the price for missing the fairway.
So so course
First of March so can’t expect great conditions. Played this course several times and it is a good course. $25 all day, can’t beat it.
Temporary Greens
Booked not knowing the lost every green and played temporary greens, kinda bummed, hope they get them back.
Course in very bad shape
I played here a few times a couple months ago in the Spring and the course was great. Unfortunately it has not been taken care of. The grass is way too high, there are weeds all over the fairway and greens, and the greens have large cracks in them as though small earthquakes tore the ground apart. Sand traps are as hard as concrete and cannot be used.
We were also waiting for the people in front of us to play so that we didn’t hit up on them and as we were waiting, their ranger came up to us and was very rude. He told us we were “slowing down the entire course and we better pick it up”. We pointed to the group in front of us that we were waiting on and then he said “I think I’m warning the wrong group” then drove off. Regardless, that little encounter made our foursome feel very rushed (even though we then had to wait again to take our next shots) and the rest of our day was pretty miserable, filled with talking about how we should have done a different course.
Greens were bad
Lost balls in the fairway and greens had cracks in them
Nice place for the money.
Pretty much what you’d expect. Tee boxes not well kept. . Repair spots on greens. Decent for the price
Great Value
This is a fun course and a great value, especially if you can snag a GolfNow deal. But even at regular price, it’s a great value. Par 3’s are tough for the average golfer with the length but the Par 5’s are all reachable with good drives. Tee boxes are a little rough but greens have consistent speed.
