enjoyable and different
front 9 is perfectly flat, back 9 gentle long hills. is you think the course looks easy take the challenge of the blues. par 5s of 485,525,585,565,630. and par 3s of 188s out of chutes. course was in nice condition greens rolled very true, a fun course with any challenge you dare to try.
Good Layout, Inconsistent Greens and Bunkers
Definitely like the overall layout of this course.
However we found that the green speed was very inconsistent, which hampered settling into a pace (putting). Pin placements were very tight on some holes. Most bunkers were completely unattended, with low quantities of sand, which created some hard pan conditions.
Nice course...could use a little TLC though.
Greens are excellent condition
Course was in pretty good condition but the greens were excellent! Several challenging holes especially par 5's.would recommend to others.
Not bad! I will play again
For $29 at 1:30 it was a great buget course. Tough greens and fairly open course
Fox Hollow
I thought the course was in excellent condition for the amount of rain that the area experienced in the last week. Two days of non-stop rain and then down pours the night before. I am a golfer who has played courses that had fairways of half grass and half dirt, as well as courses that PGA tour tournaments are played on. Fox Hollow falls right into a category where you get great conditions for an excellent price. I am pleased that I have easy access to this golf course.
Good Value
Fox Hollow GC is a great course for the value. I paid 25 bucks to ride at noon, not bad at all. I played as a single but played with another single and a twosome, who also used GolfNow to. Ok their tee times. The course was in fairly good condition, considering the 3+ inches of rain the area received a 2 days before, and an inch of rain the night before. There were a few soggy spots in the rough, but that was to be expected. The course was well maintained with neat fairways, thick but playable rough, and great green conditions. We started right when put tee time was scheduled and played at a good pace, despite the course being booked solid. We had a bit of a delay at the turn, but that was because the group ahead of us decided to stop for their 5 course feast after 9. Once, we got out, the pace was back to normal. Overall a great day and a nice course, will definitely be coming back with some friends to see if I can beat my 78!
Learning course
I would rate this course as a learning facility as the greens aren't the best; great speed for the beginner, the fairways are generous and not too many roughs or trouble to deal with.
Granted we had rain for a few days so the course was extremely wet, I would give it a second chance again only if I'm in the area and playing a round with my girlfriend who I'm teaching the game to.
play two courses in one
front nine is typical farmland course, fairly flat, holes wind through the flat, ponds and creek in play.
Back nine is very hilly, lots off canter shot making. both are fun.
The course was well maintain.
Nice course for the price. Not terribly challenging but a nice round of golf can be played.
Friendly course to play
Too much leaves on some fairways typical for this time of the year. They did a pretty good job on the green and around area.
Fox Hollow has some ver challenging holes.
The pace of play was slow when we played was due the first weekend of winter rates. The greens and fairways were in good condition. Some of the tee boxes needed some work.
Some interesting holes and greens were good.
Had a couple holes as cart part only for no good reason. Have a starter that screamed at us 1st hole because we forgot was cart path. It starts your day off wrong. He is out stalking you the whole day. If I needed that abuse could stay home or at work. Will not return.
good course, great deal
greens were in very good shape, alittle bit slow, but nice condition. most of the tee boxes were moved up as it seemed they were repairing the back boxes. Very fast round of golf, nothing bad to say.
Too slow for a mediocre course
Some courses you don't mind waiting on, this is not one of them. Recently aerated greens, no sand in bunkers, teeing areas really in rough shape all piled on a 2 hour 50 min front nine equals a really poor experience. To add insult to injury as I checked out after 9 (no way I could endure a 5 1/2 hour round this day) I offered some constructive criticism citing the lack of ranger-ing leading to the 3 group back up wehad to deal with from hole 6 to 9. I was told it was my fault since I was a twosome and there was nothing that could be done about it. Too many choices out there these days to not pay attention to customer experience, I won't be back.
This Course is not worth the time or money
I have played a numbe of course in my time and I must admit this is one of the worse kept courses I have play in quite a while. The rate I payed for the round was inexpensive. I now know why. Not worth the drive to this out of the way course. The best thing about the course was leaving.
Interesting course that is a decent value
Playing Fox Hollow is like playing 2 different courses: the Front is pretty flat and the Back is hilly for the most part, with some interesting elevation changes.10, 11 and 15 are my most challenging and favorite holes. Generally, the course is fairly open, although some of the holes seem a little too close together for comfort. It feels like there is more than the usual risk of being hit by an errant shot, especially in the area of the 13, 14, 17 and 18 holes. Generally well maintained, the recent rain has nonetheless created some maintenance problems for fairways and greens. However, it's not way out of whack for public courses this summer. Not a bad value for the money. Grill/snack bar has broader menu than most. It's nice to be able to get a half sandwich instead of a dog. Ambience, however, is minimal to non-existent. Pro shop has pretty sparse selection..
layout great, condition not so much
Love the layout, but the condition of the course wasn't great when I played. I couldn't see where the fairways are so that made lining up a shot difficult. I don't know if that's the way this course always is or if it's just a temporary thing.
fun course good condition, greens a little slow but it was due to all the rain
It's a fun course. The greens were a little slow due to all the rain but they putted well. Staff is real friendly and helpful. Overall good value.
Playable
For under $15 w/ cart this is a good course to hack around, or get in a quick one. They've lost several fairways (I'm thinking drought, not disease), the greens are small and slow, and the there is no sand in the bunkers (at least the ones I was in). All that being the course is fair, has an inviting layout, and is playable.
good course
course is nothing special if you are looking for a relaxing round at affair price this is a fine course played 6100 yards from the white with 2 reachable par 5 have played many times pace of play can be a problem but on this day pace was fine only small thing wrong is the putting green speed and course green speed were different putting green much faster
