Will Be Back
First time here, but won't be the last. Very scenic course, lot's of trees. Might be tough in fall, but until then I plan on going back again a few more times.
Average Joe
The course does have some interesting holes. There are a few with valleys and elevated greens, One of the par 3's is the most difficult you will ever try to master. #9 I would consider their signature hole; playing over a fountain/pond. It is a par 5 which most long hitters should be able to par. Many of the dog legs do require accuracy in length.
Good overall golf course
Course is in good shape. Some fairways are a little spotty. Greens are nice.. good place to golf
Never again
Very disappointed in the course condition. At times could not distinguish fairways between the rough. Grass was made up largely of clover and crabgrass. Fortunately only played nine holes with my playing partner.
Nice layout
First time at Tangelwood. Slow play because of 5some in front of us. Don't think I'll return.
Bad surprise
Made a reservation on GolfNow app the day before. Next day go to golf and walk to clubhouse to find a sign that says closed. Would have been nice to get a phone call or some kind of notification other than driving 25 minutes to find that out.
Great deal on Golfnow!!
I was back visiting my home town and found a great deal for this course on golfnow. THE course was in great shape and the greens were just right. the course was challenging with doglegs and changes in elivations .I would highly recommend this course if u r in the area.
A variety pack - a little of everything.
A couple challenging dog leg par 5's.
A couple ponds to play over.
Elevated and descending par 3's.
A few holes with very difficult and fast greens.
#9 - A signature par 5 hole, playing up hill and then over the beautiful fountain pond.
This course has it all.
The only detraction is mountain views. It is flat for the most part.
Nice course - friendly people!
My son, my brother--in-law, and I decided to play the course in the morning. We played in the afternoon after a scramble in the morning and considering all the rain we've had, it was in pretty good shape. We ended up playing 27 holes. The staff could not have been more gracious! We had a great time.
best kept secret in the area
this is a great course , the layout is very nice and the people there are the best .
What happened?
Have been playing here about 8 years. Always found courses in good condition. However yesterday we found crabgrass everywhere but on the greens. Fairways and tees were covered. Found the small ponds on the course covered with scum. Can,t beat the price. Great layout. Hope course conditioning improves.
i love tanglewood
i love golfing at tanglewood golf course. i play about 4 times a week weather permitting. the course is in great shape and the staff if the best.
under new ownership
been playing this course for a few mnths now its wonderful... the new owner has done an outstanding job bringing the course back...some of the best greens ive ever played on....staff is very friendly....and they sell memberships for a very reasonable price....if u havent played here in awhile u might wanna come back and check it out
Great for price
Hot a hot deal on golf now app. Excellent course and I would go back. Hadn't played there in several years due to moving away. Now that I am in area again it will be a regular stop.
Tanglewood
Checked in, showed my Golfnow confirmation. Course guy must have been mad, charged me six dollars for the smallest bucket a balls they had. They are typically 2-3 every other course. Course was not busy but there was no Ranger on the course either. No pairing up of 2 somes or singles. I played as a single and was forced to wait for a foursome all day, that wouldn't let me play through. I blame the course for not having a Ranger.
The great things about this course. The layout is spectacular. Greens are in good shape for having been recently aerated, little bumpy. The course could use one more set of tees between the whites and the blues that plays to right at 5900-6100 ft. Every Par four minus one was 380 some from the blues. Loved the par 5s and the par threes and had to hit every club in my bag. Not an overly tight course but if you find yourself in the rough very easy to have a higher score.
Overall this was a decent course to play, I wouldn't pay over 35 for it though.
