Fantastic layout on the front....both par5s are unreachable in 2 and I consistently hit 250yr drives greens are lush and beautiful...fairways are sparse but on a publiccourse you play clean and place anyway...some cerebral holes on the back nine....most scenic of any course I ever played.very well maintained and friendly staff...Fantastic practice facilities...I think many people go just for the great range and practice area.I' give 5 stars only to Augusta national.

First, this is an 18 hole course, not 9. The back nine is beautiful, scenic, and on the side of a mountain (you can't walk the back). It immediately reminded me why I love the NE PA countryside. The front nine is a bit crowded (holes too close to each other). I could not find the course on my golfers GPS, so I found a few surprises (hidden water hazards, bad measurements posted), so take a laser and a iPhone (for aerial views), unless you're playing with a regular.
Pros: Ultrascenic back nine; you'll use all your clubs; not crowded; don't need a tee time.
Cons: bad grass (can't distinguish fairways from rough); very short (I think 7 par 3's; one par five easily reached in 2); too many trick holes (hidden pins on par 3's? What's with that? Blind layup tee shots, etc.;, a couple holes are virtually unplayable by average women (e.g., 110 yard water hazard)
All that said, we absolutely enjoyed two rounds, but don't expect resort golf..
