Rolling Fields Golf Club
About
Rolling Fields Golf Course in Murrayville, also known as "The Fields" to regulars, boasts fast greens that are some of the area's best. The layout stretches across rolling green hills sprinkled with mature trees. There are plenty of interesting holes but the golf course is player-friendly enough for beginners to approach with confidence. The front nine is fairly straightforward with only trees and the occasional bunker causing trouble. The course gets more challenging on the back nine, which starts with the longest par 4 on the backside. Accuracy is a necessity on this tough hole with a narrow fairway and small green. Rolling Fields Golf Course boasts one of western Pennsylvania's premier finishing holes, a stunning par 4 with a lake that guards the front of the green. Even with all that the course offers, it is still one of area's most affordable.

Great Public Course
I returned to play here after I attended a fundraiser at the course. First off, the staff is great. One of the friendliest around (I no longer wish to play at another area course after interactions with their staff, the staff at Rolling Fields has the opposite effect and I plan to play here many times). I love the course layout. Most fairways are well defined and the topography creates quite a challenge. The greens were in fantastic shape. Great speed, few divots, and a good mixture of high slope and low slope pin locations. It is a very fun course to play for beginners and skilled players alike, and great value at that.
The only things keeping me from a 5 star review are the pace of play and the overall conditions.
I played as a twosome, and there were two foursomes in front of us. Its not entirely surprising that we would catch up to the groups ahead, but Im not the best golfer and my partner is a complete beginner. We were not playing a fast round. But we had to wait at every hole for the two groups ahead to finish up. I dont know what the issue was, but I know the course offers tee times at 10 minute intervals and the group ahead had to wait for the group in front of them until they teed off on the first...they ended up teeing off only 2 minutes before our scheduled tee time. We waited for a few minutes extra but as we didnt think we would play fast with our skill level and there were groups getting ready behind us we played on. We were in no hurry, so we didnt mind waiting, but at our skill level it gets very frustrating to have groups behind you watching your every stroke.
As to the course conditions, overall they were not terrible and as mentioned the greens were fantastic. However, the fairway grass was not much of a fairway. The grass is light on much of the course and did not offer very forgiving lies. I would note though, they were not awful just have room for improvement. For the price of the course, it is a great value.
Fun Course to Play
I love this course! Staff is great front nine is a good warmup to a very challenging back nine!
Great Course
Great Course, great staff, great bar and clubhouse. Rates are very fair compared to other local courses.
WHY I PLAY AT ROLLING FIELDS
I play here as much as I can. It is a great course and the staff is terrific. The people who play here are kind and have golf etiquette.
What else do you need except a great scorecard.
GOOD LUCK AND RNJOY!!!
ENJOY GOLF, PLAY AT ROLLING FIELDS.
The course has a great and challenging layout. Each hole has its own challenge. Manicured very well. They have a great place to eat and enjoy a few beverages.
The staff are super friendly and willing to answer your questions. Carts are good and very enjoyable to ride.
Don’t trust my comments come and see for yourself.
Goat trail but nice clubhouse
Place is a goat field. Nicest things are clubhouse, clock a first tee and holes 16 and 18. Other than that, don’t waste your money
Nice course
Good value for the money. Greens roll true and in great shape. Some tough and challenging holes. Some blind spots on few holes so need to make sure group in front is clear.
First go
Best value for your buck! Course is tucked away with plenty of nature and easy going staff. Great place to unwind and spend a day. Summer shandy was spot on!
Unique layout, course needs a lot of tidying up....
Good for the price
The course is fun and challenging. Overall I had a great round for a great price. The cart paths and fairways make for a bumpy ride in a cart. But i enjoyed the round. Lovely views!
Always a pleasure.
From Tees to The Greens , this course is an execution of exemplary groundskeeping. clean fairways, Lush scenery to seperate the holes and fairways, amazing pace of play, the staff were inviting and fellow golfers were commendable. the course offers a nice first 4 holes, that are not a major challenge to conquer. and difficulty rises throughout play. hole 18 is a decently long hole from tips, it is a drive you must take care when executing as it must carry flight over a beautiful pond. the hazards and slopes vary dramatically, making almost every hole feel like a whole new course. As a golfer, consistency is key, we all know that, but as a staff of a golf course, consistency seems to be a non mandatory characteristic, BUT NOT AT ROLLING FIELDS. It is a consistently manicured, undulated, and prim place to chase those birdies. 5 STARS and WILL RETURN AGAIN AND AGAIN. The almost 2 hour drive is worth the early rise and run, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
