Reviews
It's $5, play as much as you want!
Like the title of the review says, $5 all day. It's a great place to work on your short game...other than putting. In fact, my second time thru, I hit onto the green and picked up my ball and moved to the next hole. Greens are terrible, as expected for a par 3. Divots almost look like someone was using the green for their tee shots. The old guy (owner) was friendly but he'll talk your ear off if you aren't careful. And the "clubhouse" might be on the tv show hoarders soon enough.
Watch out for the owner!
My wife and I liked playing here. Great place to practice EXCEPT for the CRAZY owner. We've been there at least 10 times a year but today was our last time. We were teeing off next to the drive-in and the owner drove his car up to us. YES on the COURSE and on the TEE BOX! He started yelling at us for playing while we were waiting for the movie. When we explained that we did play he then started yelling at us for playing a couple balls each. We explained it's $5 play all day and there was nobody around. He then started yelling again that we were not fixing our divots on #4. I explained we were working on our chipping and there weren't any divots to fix. He then yelled some profanity right in front of my wife and told us to leave. Needless to say he just lost at least $100 a year business forum us. Players beware. We were really scared when he drove the car up on the tee box!
GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY
5.00 FLAT FEE FOR ALL DAY USE. CANT BEAT THAT. I DID 18 HOLES IN ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. THE GREENS ARENT THE BEST BUT FOR THE PRICE OF A SMALL BUCKET OF BALLS THE BEST VALUE IN PITTSBURGH
Great Value
I live very near this course, and it's a great place to go work on your mid-short game or if you want to get a quick 9 in, as it's typically not too crowded. I have, and will continue to play here often.
With that being said there is far more to be desired from the greens, which on a par 3 is where you spend most of your time. Greens are cut very long, so it's as though you need to take a full swing to get it to move 5 feet. More, there are clovers and other weeks growing in the middle of them, which can have an affect on the direction of your putt. Putts on-line are known to hit the clovers and move off the line.
Great starter course
Great par 3, awesome for the first time out . Small course but very well maintained. Can play as many rounds as you would like in that day. Snack bar/club house needs some work(bring your own snacks/ food )but can't beat the price . Will be going back soon, thanks !
