Landis Creek Golf Club
About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Great value
Not just inexpensive. but greens nice good pace good people
Ok for the money
Course definitely could use some work. Greens weren’t great but may have been aerated recently so that didn’t help. Would try again.
Would not recommend
I have played 25 different courses this year and this was the worst condition of any course I have played. Greens and fairways were in poor shape. Just to give you an example, the area between the fringe an the green was covered with crab grass I think on every hole,. If on the fringe, You had to putt over the crabgrass. The starter was extremely friendly and they had a nice eating area. I was just shocked at the condition. I have 20 courses within 30 minute drive of my house, so I will not be playing this course again,
Nice course
This course is a great choice for anyone looking for a stress free round. Green complexes are interesting, challenging, and in very good condition. Fairways have been impacted by crabgrass thanks to Covid-19, but still play well enough. Great staff rounds out a great experience.
Great greens, hurtin fairways
The greens are in awesome good shape. The fairways were hurting somewhat because of the weather I guess.
Good day on the course
Conditions were above average and was a mostly enjoyable round. Weed grasses are creeping in on the fringes of some greens and tee boxes, but at least it's green and not down to bare soil. The 11th hole is a bad joke, but the rest of the layout is fine. Don't have to be a long hitter to score well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall, I'd recommend giving the course a shot.
Solid pub, ok course
To start my review may be a little bit skewed. Hurricane Isaias hit a few days prior and the course had some damage and may have thrown off maintenance. I found that the tee boxes had a fair bit of weeds and the roughs were inconsistently cut, some being high and would swallow your ball up and some only slightly higher then the fairway. Greens were SOFT, which made attacking the big greens fun. Bunkers were flooded and hard, but it rained an enormous amount this week. Overall it’s a fun course for the money. Best on site pub to cap off a afternoon tee time.
Best conditions/play ever!
I have had some issues in tge past with this course, but today was great...they had a tropical storm come through 3 days before, and course was wet leading to cart path only which was fine. To me, the course needed this rain and was in super shape. ( best I have seen)...fairways and greens were wonderful..what really made this Saturday the vest though, was I had got there a half hour early, and they had an outting which was just finishing, and the pro said I could just go as no one was ahead of me. I had NO ONE on the ENTIRE course in front of me abd played 18 holes in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Greatest pace of play you could ask for, and lucky me!
Excellent Course for the Price
I golfed here today with my brother. I played from the Blues, which put the course at just over 6100 yds, par was 70 * I shot an 80, my best of the season! I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This course was both a slight challenge and a whole lot of fun for both an intermediate and beginner golfer.
PROS: 3 solid Par-5s at 500+ yds each. a lot of long, straight holes (most of them wide and open, but a few slimmer off the tee with well-placed trees and a few blind greens over a slight hill/hump in the fairway to challenge you). I loved the layout and the scenery was spectacular. the back 9 is carved throughout a neighborhood, a little close quarters at times but nothing too crazy. I loved the 10th hole *210-220 over a large pond. The greens were a challenge with some solid movement and varied on both size & design from hole to hole. Not much high grass from what I can remember, so the only balls we lost were ones that got hit into the woods lining some of the holes. The food at the bar/grill after our round was phenomenal. great place to hangout and relax after playing 18 holes.
CONS: There was a tremendous rainstorm 2 nights prior that lasted into the afternoon of the day before we played, so the course was a little on the wetter side, but that was to be expected considering how bad the storm was. That said, the course itself had drained very well and aside from a couple patches of soggy grass/slight mud, the field of play was in tip-top shape. The sand traps on the other hand were waterlogged and unmaintained, BUT that was due to the fact that the staff had to tend to several trees that had fallen during the storm from the prior day, all of which were out of the field of play by the time we took the course. The cart path was more of a rocky road mixed with a dirt trail with many patches of standing water, but again the field of play was in excellent shape considering the recent weather.
Will definitely be playing here again, just may look for a dryer stretch of days before booking my next tee time here.
Enjoyable course that keeps greens in good shape
One of the only courses in the area that still lets you book a round as single. Fairly wide open for the most part with a few tight holes. A few challenging tee shots including an uphill 220 yard par 3, but certainly playable in every sense of the word. On the shorter side overall so driver is not required on all par 4s.
Greens were in great shape, hard to find your ball if you miss the fairways. . The rough was really rough
Nice course, drainage was not great
After a recent round of storms the course did not drain well. Cart paths are gravel and flooded while they required cart path only. Landis has potential if they can pave the cart paths, improve the quality of rough, and improve tee/green drainage. Club house and bar area are top notch even with cover impact. I would play here again with drier conditions and post cover for a fuller experience.
Enjoyable
Inexpensive, relaxing ,enjoyable with conditions far exceeding the far more expensive poorly kept courses in the area(spring hollow)
Not very challenging but sometimes you just want to have fun and swing away .
Course is in nice shape
Course is in nice shape. Some of the putting greens need some maintenance but overall thought it was a good deal.
Beautiful day, good golf
Course was in pretty good shape overall. A couple of the greens had large patches where it looked like irrigation lines crossed under them and a couple others that had some balding areas. Still not a fan of numbers 10 and 11, but what can you do? Got a good rate through online reservation. Staff was friendly and polite. Pace of play was actually good for a holiday weekend, finished in a shade under 4 hours. Not the course's fault, but a couple groups of careless Yahoo's took a little of the fun out of the day.
I was there the same day and it was in below average condition and the greens were all pitted with ball marks and surrounded by crabgrass. I guess I just play too many courses in much better shape.
