Great diverse elevation shots!
Great diverse elevation shots! Greens and fairways were in great shape. Sand traps need some work, with the recent rains.
Very enjoyable course
Even with the wet conditions from all the rain this area has been getting, This course manages to keep their fairways from becoming the muddy disaster that a lot of the courses in the area have unfortunately fell to. Not to say that it's without it's sticky spots, but they've kept it pretty much under control. With it's monster greens and it's long wide open fairways, this course is challenging, yet very amateur friendly. Had a great round for my birthday and can't wait to go back again.
Thanks so much for spending your last birthday with Glengarry! We definitely had some problem spots with those rains last year (bunkers) but we're on point this season! We hope to see you again soon!
Excellent confition
Really enjoyed golfing there...will definitely gold there more often.
Thank you so much for coming out, we hope to see you again this season!
Great course to play.
I love to golf here very open not alot of trees but there are some water holes and some holes that have out of range areas where you can not retreive your ball due to the surrounding homeowners property lines so you have to take a drop this trip was sorta nerve racking due to a group of 4 in front of us who took at least 18 minutes per hole while we sat right next to them and waited for them to let us go ahead but they wouldn't I would say to have a tee time when it is not so busy the greens were trampled down pretty bad to to the point of when you putted your ball looked like it was going down steps .
beautiful evening
just a perfect evening to be playing golf. I was playing where some of the most gorgeous views in western PA
Nice course
No complaints on this course. Very friendly staff. Greens were in good condition. Good course for beginners and intermediate golfers. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the course location if you are not from the area.
Poor greens
usually this course is well maintained. However the green were relatively slow this day due to a lack of cutting. Also, the bunkers were hard. I believe this is because of the rain the day prior.
Course in good shape for early season.
I play Glengarry frequently and the course is always in good shape. Challenging, but with room for some mistakes. Starting to get a bit expensive though. Prices have jumped from last year. Will continue playing as long as rates stay reasonable.
Early season
Course was in good condition considering the weather. Will play again later in the season if I am able to get a discounted green fee
Good value
Course was in nice shape. Enjoyed a great day of golf
Where are the rangers?
3 groups on every hole . Painfully slow. Didn't see any rangers
Nice greens
We played on a sat afternoon in 4.5 hours which is not bad , its not the course thats slow play nor the difficutllty of the course.. Glengarry is a fun course to play, its difficult to lose a ball and the greens are in real nice shape. The people are nice and the food is good., greens are in much better shape than earlier this spring
fun course to play
The course was in nice condition. The greens were fast but not too fast and rolled well. The bunkers needed wor but it rained heavily the night before so they might be better. It was fun to play and great for the money.
Gorgeous views
While in the middle of fairway # 12, ready to hit our shots, the sprinkler system kicked in and me and my partner got soaked. We were unable to play the hole out because of the water. The same thing happened on # 14 soaking us some more. The sun was out and the wind was blowing a howl and we dried up fairly quickly but we were miserable the next 2 holes and were in no mood to finish out the 18. I called the pro shop and they turned off the sprinklers. It was too much of a coincidence that we got soaked the same way on two fairways- what can I say. After we completed 18, I complained again to the pro shop "attendant" who profusely apologized but did not offer any compensation- at least a new round or a golf ball or two. The incident ruined our score and the end of a perfect day.
Good for beginners
I have just started to play golf and the openness of this course and shots you can see made it great.
Solid outing at Glengarry
Immaculate conditions while playing here. Greens were true. Fairways in amazing condition. Some challenging holes to keep things honest. Loved the course so much we ended up playing 36 holes total. Cost to play again w/ cart was $18 each, so for a Sunday afternoon 36 hole day, we paid $48 total. Can't beat that. Staff friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back!
Great Value, Beautiful Views
Great links style golf for the money. As expected, the greens were tiered, ungulating, and quick. The course is short and wide open-- definitely a positive for average to high handicappers. Additionally, the staff has always been extremely friendly, especially in the pro shop. I suggest stopping in to check out the well-stocked and attractively priced merchandise; there are definitely a few deals to be found. Most notably, the views around the course were quite stunning: many holes offer a 360 degree, hill-top view of the laurel highlands. Although the grounds crew has struggled to bring along the ground under repair on a few holes, Glengarry offers a great value and an enjoyable round of golf. I will definitely play there again sometime soon.
A great Father's Day
Had a perfect day for golf 75-80 degrees, not a cloud in the sky! I had my personal best round of my life; I know it's not great, but shot a 94. I left a lot of strokes on they're very speedy greens (I'd say about 8-10 shots). Overall had a great experience at Glengarry as course conditions were excellent.
Not Bad
A few of the greens needed rolled. Kinda bumpy. Other then that it was fine
Great views.
Nice course. Very open with wide fairways. Some of the greens needed attention but not a problem. Never played the couse before and found it challenging. Some shots your hitting are blind, had to drive ahead to see where to hit and if the group ahead was clear. Got a great price and would go again when in the area.
We pride ourselves on great conditions and a challenging round! Thank you for the kind words. Heavy rains killed our bunkers last August/Fall, but we're looking great in 2016! Come out and play!
