NO RAINCHECKS FOR GOLFNOW USERS!!!
Great course and facilities which I have played before.
Started to rain lightly on first hole, then steady to heavy the rest of front 9. Went inside clubhouse to get a rain check for 9 holes..Staff stated sorry... WE DO NOT ISSUE RAINCHECKS FOR GOLFNOW RESERVATIONS...SO WE WERE DONE AND MONEY LOST.... CAUSE I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT GOLFNOW BUT CONVENIENTLY THEY DO NOT PROVIDE ANYWAY TO CONTACT A PERSON DIRECTLY... JUST MENUS ...
So it’s my personal opinion don’t book thru GOLFNOW unless it is a clear and sunny day or you’ll be at a loss... and even then it’s 50/50... cause they say they waive convenience fees for GOLFPASS members and I’m still getting charges convenience fees..
Scenic and challenging
The course had elevation changes that provided a higher level of difficulty. Staying on the fairways were critical to success. Most green were in good shape— rewarding the progression of each hole. We thoroughly enjoyed the course.
Great day on a great course
Really enjoyed golfing here. Course is beautiful with challenging mountainous layout. Greens were true and large but playable. Diagrams of holes on scorecard were helpful also. Pay attention to hole layouts or you will loose balls.
Great course
Went on a Tuesday morning on a hot deal. Tricky course that’s takes a bit getting used to but worth it. Was empty and played as a twosome with my son so pace of play was excellent - did the round in about 3 hours. From tee to green the course was in excellent shape. Will be coming back again. FYI this is a 27 hole course so stay with the North course 1-18 holes. The South course for 9 holes needs some maintenance.
Amazing
One of the most beautiful and scenic golf courses i have ever played! Absolutely cannot wait to go back again! From the staff to the conditions of the course, everything was above average!!
Great day
awesome day to enjoy a round of golf, my friend and i had a blast, staff was very cool in the pro shop and groundskeepers on the course, forgot my cellphone in the cart. thank you for helping me find my cellphone
Interesting and challenging
This was my first time playing This course I enjoyed the course layout and found it challenging and enjoyable to play. We were a twosome and played in 3 hours. The course was in good shape but the greens were a little slow. Would definitely play again not sure the pace of play normally since it is a family resort area
Great Layout
In the hills of northeast Pennsylvania two golf courses sit adjacent to each other, Jack Frost and Split Rock. Jack Frost bills itself as the finest public golf course in Pennsylvania, I played Split Rock for $30, I didn’t play Jack Frost as their greens fees were $78. I don’t know for sure, but I have a tough time imagining that the best Public golf Course in PA is $48 better than Split Rock.
Split Rock is amazing . Massive changes in elevation, Result in spectacular views of the rolling Poconos. Four sets of tee boxes on every hole give players of every level a totally different experience on virtually every hole. Doglegs, uphill, downhill, blind shots, risk reward , short holes, tough holes, you name it this course has it all. Two complaints. On the back 9 three holes run along side a highway. And for walkers, it’s a hike from green to tee on a half dozen holes, that hike is par 5 in itself.
Great course, extremely challenging, most of all fun.
Had a great day at Split Rock
We thoroughly enjoyed playing here and especially during the challenge of Covid-19. The starter and staff were friendly and helpful. First time playing here, course is in great shape, we love the layout. I would call it challenging yet fair. For $40 with cart it was a great value, that may have been a promo price due to the current situation. Club amenities like restaurant and driving range were not available but the putting green and beverage cart were there. Nice locker rooms too.
Great Day in the Poconos
Tee-Time at 7:00AM. Little wet from previous two days of rain. Sun out, finished by 10:00AM. GREAT DAY
Split Rock Golf Club
Thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course was both challenging and exciting. There's some great picturesque holes. The par 3s are a joy to ping a SW/PW to, the par 5s are long and require a good drive and also a great wood if you want a chance of making the green in 2. Fantastic value for money. The scenes to of Lake Harmony were tremendous.
Tough but beautiful course
The course was in great shape. Having never played the course it was tough - tight fairways, lots of blind doglegs. But it was a fun round with some beautiful views. Maybe a course layout on the website would be nice.
