Not un-bad
Bunkers looked to be in really nice shape, which is more or less how I determine quality for the money. It looks like there have been some changes to the course and club house: Trees cut down/back, new club renovation. The course was well kept, rough is a bit grabby. Greens rolled nice as well. I would return but I think $70 on Saturday morning paired with an hour drive away is a tough sell. There is room for improvement, a few blind tee shots should have a bell or something to ring so players on the tee know it's safe. The bar is over priced. 6 miller lites and a hot dog at the turn was $30! They offered 'Turn Burgers' for $5, which is just a burger but they sold burger platters if you called in for more than twice as much! The tee sheet was not packed, and we still were asked to allow a group to play through. Note that they were not significantly better than us, but the solution was to split our foursome up, not force us to wait 15-20 minutes for the hackers behind us push ahead. My handicap app times my rounds, we came in at 4:21, which means we were on pace for a 4 hour round - exactly what the course asks for! I'd recommend this course solely to play, but not for anything specific. I would not drink or eat here again, and I'd only play with the right hot deal.
pretty nice
Greens held. Fairways were great conditipns. Tee boxes are rough, including not flat; if i must have a sidehill lie it shouldn't be on the tee. Grtens interesting and slow. Sandtraps were fine.
Very Nice layout
I always enjoy playing Berkleigh Golf Course. Generally, I play there at least once a week. This golf course is always in excellent condition and the layout is excellent. The Staff is friendly too. I have not had an opportunity to eat in the restaurant which I hope to do in the near future after a round of golf.
Berkleigh
Course in great shape. Especially the sand traps unfortunately for me
Great course
This is a beautiful course and very well kept. The only complaint is cart paths need upgrading
5 STARS
First of all I would like to commend the staff and PGA professional for their attentiveness and friendliness when we arrived! As for the course itself, it is an incredible shape and for those that have not played it you will love it… Guaranteed! Lush fairways and beautiful greens… It is absolutely a pleasure to play…

Update
Major improvements in course condition and clubhouse. Will be playing here again
A Pleasure
Berkleigh is an older mature course with a great layout requiring players to hit every type of shot. The rolling hills of many of the fairways require down hill, up hill, and side hill lies which can be very challenging to those unfamiliar with the course. The roughs on many of the holes are what their namesake denotes. The greens are a true pleasure to be able to play. They are not for the beginner who has yet learn how to read them or acquired the touch needed. However, if you play the game for challenge and the positive feedback, and not to just try and feed your ego, you will have a great day and look forward to returning. My only criticism is that the greens are on the smaller size, but that is typical for the age of the course. The one other criticism is the Tees., They are small and have been ignored, while other work takes place on the course. Hopefully, they next up.
Beware the 3-putt
This course is very nice. They just built a new club house. Conditions are good. My only complaint are the greens. They are too difficult to read. It is very frustrating to go Fairway to green on every hole only to 3 putt. This isn't just a disgruntled putter, my whole group had the same problem. Greens shouldn't be this hard. This will be the reason I would choose somewhere else to play. PS I 4 putted 9.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Berkleigh Golf Club.
Fun time
Place is up to date facilities, well maintained and challenging.
MOW THE ROUGH!!! GROW THE GREENS!!!
Here's the quick and easy...rough WAYYYY to high. Impossible to play from. Takes forever to find the ball. Can't hit it even if you find it. This course doesn't need the rough to be so high. Very bad business model. I live 10 minutes from there but won't play it. It's a great and challenging layout that makes you think however if you don't end up in the fairway you're screwed. Game over!!! Greens way to fast as well. The course would be hard even if there was no rough and moderate green speeds but the way it is tricked out makes it 4-5 hours of misery. Mow the grass on either side of the fairway and grow the grass on the greens then you'll get more customers back. The pros don't play here anymore so us duffers need to be catered to a bit. I'd rather shoot high scores because I suck not because the conditions do

Stolen Property
Awful service. I left my expensive GPS on my golf cart (magnetically attaches to the cart pole). Called the pro shop within an hour of finishing. Said they’d look for it and call back. Never did. I called again the next day they said they’d check for it and talk to the cart folks. Never got a call back. Never playing this place again just awful for that reason alone. At least have the decency to reach back out honestly. Do a better job.

New management
New management made some decent improvements on the course; bunkers were nice, greens rolled decent, took trees down to promote growth on tee boxes. Club house is very nice but no mixers are sold in bar. Dislikes- became way to expensive under new management, taking advantage of COVID rates. The starter is miserable and will rush you off the range to the tee box when no golfers are behind you.

Fantastic golf course
There's still plenty of country club feel left from the first tee to the last green of this course. Fairway, rough, greens, bunkers (especially bunkers!) were all in consistently strong condition. The fairways were a bit shaggy - not surprising given how early it is in the season. Greens were a bit on the slow slide for the same reason, but rolled as true as any I've played on recently. Great mix of hole types, and some wonderful views of what must be an old farmhouse on the property. I'm from out of state, so won't be able to play here again soon, but definitely wish I could!
Course is really good. Cart paths are atrocious! Sand is pretty good. Greens in good shape.
Love this course but the cart paths are so bad you can barely keep control of the cart. It’s still worth going there compared to other courses. Traps are good in some cases and bad in others.
Rude starter/ranger
I like the course itself as it has a nice balance of holes. Some straight forward holes and some difficult shot making holes too. Not hitting driver is a good choice on many holes to favor placement over distance. The guy working inside the pro shop is always friendly and a joy to deal with. The starter/ranger was one of the rudest and grumpiest persons I’ve ever come across on a golf course. Didn’t get the 12 person group of players going off the first tee in a timely fashion. Being the 4 ball right behind this group we got to see it all happen. Then he drives up to my group teeing off on 7 telling us there’s multiple groups waiting on the tee behind us and we need to play faster. We waiting on that very tee box for two groups in front of us as well and had to wait on 7 too. Being a shortish par for 7th we were teeing off with the group in front of us not yet on the green, so we were not out of position in the least. To make matters worse he told us as he pulled up to “hurry up you’re behind” in the middle of a back swing from our group. My group waited on literally every tee box from the first hole and forever for every green to clear in front of us. He started the problems not doing his job on the first tee then yells at the groups not being the slow group problems. 5 plus hour rounds should never happen on a course that’s not that challenging.
Tour Level Layout, Public Course conditions
Always enjoyed this course since it was a Private. Betsy King, Anika Sorenstem have walked these fairways! Challenging layout, and the greens are better than most public course offerings.
This one is walkable. Don’t pass this one up, we’ll worth the public course rate.
