Members were awesome..
I have played many courses in the area as a single. Never have I been paired with 3 better people. Very helpful with how to play the course from tee to green. Should have gotten a contact number from them. Would really like to play in there group again..Shot my best round of the year...thanks guys.
Great Course!!
This course is a gem!! Conditions were exceptional.... great fairways and greens!! Wonderful layout!! Can't wait to travel up this way again and here!! Highly recommended!!!
Nice course, very slow pace of play
The course was in great shape and the weather was perfect. Needless to say, though that the front nine alone took us three hours do to pace of play. This is not acceptable. Would definitely come back though if they clean up this issue.
All around good course
Everything about this course is great except for the starter. He started us 20 mins earlier and got an attitude when we kindly let him know our tee time wasn’t for another 20 minutes, thinking it was a mistake. Then come to find out he started 3 other groups early and at the same time leading to pile ups on every par 3, which caused the round to last 6 hours. Other than that the conditions were phenomenal and the rest of the staff were great.
Very Nice Layout
Dauphin Highlands offers players a very interesting and fair test. There are no 'copy' holes - though #1 and #3 are quite similar. Conditions are consistently good.
Elevation changes make this a difficult course to walk unless you're young or very fit.
Food amenities are minimal - no cart service and no 'real' bathrooms on the course.
Stupid green aeration policy !!!!!
Let me first say this used to be one of my top 3 courses to play in the last 20 years. Since Billy Casper Mgmt. took over the quality of experience has dropped dramatically. The last few years their aeration policy defies logic. For at least 5 consecutive rounds over last season and this (spring/summer) a partial/random aerification has been done to either half of individual greens or a significant number of entire greens while the remaining greens are untouched. Never knowing which greens will have sand or punch hole or both is a real bummer when playing here . I've asked the staff about this and haven't gotten much .of an answer, as they seem to not care about PAYING CUSTOMER feedback. Great course for the past 2 decades until Casper took over and aeration policy has driven me and my friends away, probably 40 or 50 total rounds /year. !
Slow play as tee times are to close
Ever since Billy Casper golf management has taken over this course they get as many people on the course as possible creating a very slow play experience. Tee times are to close making for backups of sometimes 4 groups per hole. I still play here because I enjoy the course, sad that is being managed so poorly.
