Ambassador at Hickory Valley Golf Club

About
Hickory Valley Golf Club boasts two 18-hole, regulation-length courses, named the Ambassador and the Presidential. The Ambassador Course is the shorter of the two at 6,450 yards but it still offers a fair test. The classic layout is routed through towering hardwoods forests that stretch to over 70 feet high. The tall hickory trees loom over the fairways. The small greens are sloped back to front, presenting a challenge for even the most seasoned players. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are a few tricky doglegs to contend with. The bunkering is minimal but the abundant trees will be enough to keep you on your toes. The golf course has some challenging holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Rained out with heavy downpours and lightning thunder I tried to call with the number that is on your account and it is not active I would like to get credit for my round of golf because Hickory Valley would not give me credit because I booked it through GolfNow please let me know what my next step is on my credit

Lots of turns in the course and lots of trees. Course is not so great condition (Ambassador)

Great course, great greens average fairways
I have played this course for over 15 years. I really enjoy the layout and the staff is always friendly. The Presidential course has always been the course with the best greens and great fairways. So, I was a little disappointed to see the fairways with bare spots and brown grass.
Hopefully the greens keeper can figure it out for next year.

Track to be played
The presidential at hickory valley is a must play for the golf enthusiast in the area. I thought the greens were in fantastic shape last Saturday (09/02) with some tough pins. It was a lot of fun. You can get pretty upset with yourself on the back 9 considering how tight a few of the holes are, but if you bring the right attitude, you can have a great time here. Love how the holes meander around the creek. Some really pretty and fun par threes.

Awesome track
Great layout. Not ridiculous tough, but not easy either. Some opened fairways, some tight, most greens are decent sized but pretty undulating

Decent course for the value
I played the Presidential course. Greens are good, as are fairways. The cartpaths could use some help and the carts are old.
Other nearby courses are in much better shape but cost more
that being said, I paid $37 for an early start time from Golf now with a cart. They let me off first so I got around in about 3 hours.
there is a driving range with the length being about 175 yards
If you are looking for decent golf for an affordable price, then this is a place for you

Great Layout
Presidential Course is a challenging layout. Greens and fairways in excellent shape. Golfers who play there however need to fix their ballmarks on these nice greens.

Challenging but fair course
Course was in great condition. Played early in the AM as a solo. Course requires to to have fairly accurate shots as there are a lot of trees lining the fairways. Course was fun and the greens were in great shape.

Challenging 36
If you’re looking to post your best round, the presidential course may disappoint, but if you’re looking for a place where shot placement, challenging approaches a few tight fairways and holes that tempt you to go for it, then it’s a fun course. Played the Presidential and the Ambassador a few times and both are fun, well maintained, greens roll well. Presidential is overpriced in my opinion and on sight amenities are sub par, beverage cart seems to only run on weekends

Love This Course
I really like the layout of both courses at Hickory Valley. The course was in excellent condition. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The only thing that bothered me was that the people who play this course do not fix their ball marks on these nice greens. Otherwise I love this course.
