The 18-hole Pittsburgh National Golf Club in Gibsonia, PA is a public golf course that opened in 1994. Designed by Ron Forse, Pittsburgh National Golf Club measures 7066 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 135 and a 74.2 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are grass.
Pittsburgh National used to be my favorite course (when it was called Deer Run), but apparently there were some issues and the course condition deteriorated. However, I just played there recently, and the course is definitely improving...the greens are in decent condition and the fairways are much better than the last time I played there (I believe the course is under new ownership). I also had lunch after my round, and the food and service were both very good. I hope the positive trend continues with the new management and I look forward to playing there next season.
