Lenape Heights Golf Course
About
Located at the center of Armstrong County, Lenape Heights Golf Resort is only minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. This public golf course has an accessible 18-hole layout for players of all skill levels. There are a few challenges to contend with including strategically placed sand traps and lakes, but the course is gentle enough for players of all skill levels. The golf course is one of the best values in the area, not only offering a solid round but immaculately manicured fairways and some of the best greens in the area. The front nine has wide-open fairways and the back nine gets a bit tighter. There are some good driving holes and you'll get some short game practice as well. Lenape Heights finishes with a tough uphill hole with a blind approach to the severely sloped green.

Course was in very nice shape considering we had 1 1/2 inches of rain the day before.
Greens were slow and spongey--probably from the rain. Overall course had drained well and was in very good shape. Enjoyed the round as we played in 3 1/2 hours.
Quality layout and impressive condition
Second time playing Lenape Heights and really enjoyed it this time around with great weather. The grounds crew does a really good job of keeping it impressive shape. It is of better quality than one would expect in this location. The sightlines are good with many strategic shotmaking opportunities. We played from the blue tees which makes the course just long enough to use all of clubs in the bag. The first hole is actually the poorest layout and it gets much better from there so don't be discouraged. I will definitely be coming back this season.
Challenging for any level of player.
Course in great shape. Proper sand in bunkers. Greens very good, improving evey week. Course well maintained.
Great place to golf
I had not played this course for a couple years . It is vastly improved . The clubhouse is first rate with a full bar and restaurant . The fairways and greens were perfect . The 18th hole teebox has been moved to create a real challenge at the finish
Awesome Course!!!
This course for the money is one of the best around where I live in Indiana, PA.
Nice course
Coarse Is hilly as a heads up. Other than that its fun to play and I'm sure it will be in great condition for Summer 2013. They have made this place a resort with a hotel on property and a very nice clubhouse for cocktails and dinner. I will be playing this course at least a couple times a month this year
Great course for the money. Super facilities and staff.
We play Lenape approx once a week. A great course for the money. The staff and facilities are first rate. Be sure to visit the bar after your round. For regular's their corp memberships are a great value
Fun to play
Course has been updated and new hotel to open soon. It was fun to play a public links course that is soon to become a resort course to see how you can have the same "old" layout with "new" updates made it more fun!
Dr. Stanley
Course has improved greatly in the last year. Well defined fairways, new drainage and new ponds. Well groomed.
Well maintained traditional layout
I played this course on a cool day in the Fall. Greens had recently been aerated, but were recovering nicely. All fairway and greenside bunkers were in excellent condiiton. It's a somewhat shorter layout, made more difficult by the fact that there are some tighter doglegs. Tee boxes were in very nice shape, and the fairways and rough were in good condition. It's a fairly long drive from the Pittsburgh suburbs, but would be worth a try if you're in the area.
Good day golfing
The course was in great October condition. The fairways firm and greens at a good pace. The groundsfolk were working hard at removing fallen leaves from fairways and some rough. Pace of play was good for a good part of the day. Unfortunately I did not check the local paper beforehand as their coupon was $10 less then golfnow's rate. But still a good value.
I'd play it again
The course was in beautiful shape. The grass was plush and manicured nicely and the greens were beautiful. It was definitely worth the money and I will play it again.
Amazing
It's a diamond in the rough. The amount of money that is spent at that golf course is amazing, the greens are perfect the sand is white and the course is pristine. Golfing is great, the only downfall is the clubhouse is too fancy, I can understand the dining room being nice for dinner. The bar need to be changed, it needs bar food and just changed for more of a 19th hole feeling. Golfing is great, and well worth going we just choose to eat elsewhere.
