Nice Course n friendly staff!
Great price on GolfNow! Course is in great shape! Greens are in excellent condition. Pace of play was great and the 19th hole had excellent food!
Excellent course
This course you get a country club type experience at a public course. The staff is all very friendly, the carts are all brand new and very fancy, and the course is very interesting. This is one of my favorite courses in the area.
THIS WAS A COUNTRY CLUB?
THERE WAS A LOT OF HYPE WHEN THIS COURSE WENT PUBLIC. THE NEW OWNER WAS REDESIGNING IT WITH AND ISLAND GREEN AS A FOCAL POINT. EXCITING, RIGHT? A FRIEND AND I FINALLY DECIDED TO PLAY IT YESTERDAY, AND WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I UNDERSTAND IT IS LATE IN THE SEASON, BUT THIS WAS UGLY! THERE WAS VERY LITTLE GRASS ON MOST OF THE FAIRWAYS AND WHERE THERE WAS, IT WAS VERY SPONGEY AND HARD TO PLAY OFF OF. THE GREENS WERE POCK MARKED FROM PLAYERS NOT REPAIRING BALL MARKS AND SOME HAD BALD SPOTS. THEN ON TOP OF ALL THIS, THEY WERE AERATING THE FAIRWAYS AS WE PLAYED!!
I UNDERSTAND IT IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, BUT
I FEEL LIKE IF YOU'RE GOING TO LET PEOPLE PLAY ON THIS, IT SHOULD BE AT A VERY DISCOUNTED COST. MIGHT I SUGGEST A BOGO @ $30.00? 2 FOR 1 IN THE CURRENT CONDITION MIGHT BE A BARGAIN.
THE BEST PART OF THIS COURSE RIGHT NOW WOULD BE THE STAFF. VERY FRIENDLY CREW.
IF NOT SO FRUSTRATED DURING MY ROUND, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TO TAKE A FEW PICS.
SHOT A DECENT ROUND, BUT FEEL I COULD HAVE DONE A LITTLE BETTER IF I COULD HAVE CONTROLLED MY BALL ON THE FAIRWAYS. WHEN THEY'RE HARD, IT'S HARD TO DO SO. LOST A SLEEVE OF BALLS TOO!
AND ONE MORE THING. ON THE BACK 9, OUR CART (#5)DECIDED TO NOT RUN IN FORWARD GEAR FOR A WHILE!! THAT WAS FUN DRIVING AROUND IN REVERSE. LOL!!
Pleasant Valley golf
Fairways were bad greens were nice The new number 17 wasn't very impressive more like a trick hole down hill tee shot to a small landing area about 180-200 yards then a120 yard shot over water to an island green
Tricky
I loved the course, 17 was not what the GPS in the cart said it was, I lost three balls on that hole. Other than that! Loved it!
Under construction
Some of the holes on this course are under construction. It would be fair to rate this course after construction is complete rather than now.
A little rain but great day!
The improvements to this course are impressive.This is the first time I have played the course since the new owners have taken over.
The staff are very friendly & helpful from getting carts to you to being very appreciative upon returning.Their food at the restaurant was great & reasonable. The waitress very efficient & friendly.All in all a great day!The new island green is now open ,challenging & beautiful.
Be more flexible
Golf course was phenomenal, in the mid construction stage and still loved it. A day prior my friend tried to book a tee time through golf now and it was booked one minute before the actual tee time, on the day of instead of the day following. Total mistake and understand the confusion but neither the golfnow app nor the golf course was will to move out tee time or refund the $60.00 for the 18 holes. So the day we actually went to golf we had to pay again which with a total of $120.00 for 18 holes.
Beautiful Improvements
Challenging course and a lot of fun to play. The improvements are phenomenal especially the Island Green on 17. Some areas have ground under improvement but really doesn’t come into play much. This place is a great value now and will be even better as the work is completed. Can’t wait to play again.
Open
I prepaid for a 7 am tee time but the course wasn’t even open. I waited over an hour for someone to show up. Don’t show open tee times on GolfNow if your not open!

Great experience. Excited for the new renovations.
Was visiting family for the 4th of July and decided to play 18 at a near by course. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Front 9 was in excellent condition and the golf course are state of the art (big, fast and comes with GPS). Pace of play was excellent. Finished 18 in 3 hours (golfed solo), The back 9 is under a ton of maintenance but the workers were extremely courteous. Excited to come back when the renovations are complete!
Beautiful course and continuously improving
Even though the course is currently under some construction for the island green on 17, all other areas of the course are in great shape and are continuously being improved. Once 17 is opened that section of the back nine around the new water area will be like nothing else in the region. This course will certainly become more of a challenge compared to the previous layout. I can’t wait to play the new section when it is finally opened.

Nice large greens smooth fairways in great shape hole 17 under repair but it looks amazing will be back definitely
Course was closed
Booked a tee time to be told they were closed for weather. Booked on Wednesday our tee time was Saturday.

Although new managment has made some improvements, there is no way i would pay more than $35 to play here. And even if it was $35 i would probally spend the extra 10 nucks and play somewhere nice like Madison, TotterRidge, Glenn Geary or Butlers.
Qith that being said..for 50 bucks a round, you should jave the xourse all to yourself.

Best value in the area...
Although Pleasant Valley has been a work in progress for the entire two years that I’ve played it, the new owner has spared nothing in making this one of the premier Courses in W. PA. The 14th Fairway leads to an Island Green that is just a sample of what the 17th Green has to offer. The 17th Tee Box looks down on the Green that’s only accessible via a footbridge and takes good management to get your ball over the two layers of water. If you haven’t experienced this once private Club, go for it while it’s still affordable.
Course has ALOT of construction going on. Fairways and greens are in fantastic shape tho on 90% of the holes given the work they’re doing. Very friendly and helpful staff.
