Great course
Course has appropriate level of difficulty and greens are great. Course flows well. Nice wide fairways.
Quick round
Three hours to play around with a threesome is awesome
Great Value and a nice course
The Greens Fees are a great value. The course is nice, well marked, well groomed. The leaves are taken care of to make play less frustrating in the fall and winter. Pace of play was good. 12 hcp, 20 hcp, and 1 new player who did not feel pressured to play faster. Nice layout.
Slow play
We were a foursome of average elderly golfers who got caught behind a young threesome. They only had 2 sets of clubs, and we had to wait on every shot. The course is in very nice shape and the staff was friendly.
Need a ranger but not many courses have them any more.
Greens in good shape
Greens are still holding up, but much of the rest of course has succumbed to the hot dry weather we have been having. Still playable and fun to play but a little more challenging with hard ground to hit off of.
Great Shape
The fairways and greens were in great shape. Due to the heat and lack of rain a few tees were a little rough but in general the course was in great shape.
No bad
The greens are in excellent shape. The tee boxes need some tlc. The fairways are hard because the lack of rain.
Course in good shape
Course was in real good shape. Greens were full and holding well. Fairways were also in good shape with only a few burnout areas. A tribute to the maintenance crew with weather being extremely hot and dry over the last month.
My favorite in the area
If you’re looking in this are for golf there’s a few courses to choose from. This is by far my favorite one to play. Greens are always perfect, fairways have always been great, and the other golfers are always nice. The poor reviews on here are probably from poor golfers. Love this course and the history of it.
Course in rough shape
The tee boxes and fairways are in rough shape. Some of the tee areas were set in areas which were not flat, as well as being quite bare. We have had a hot and dry summer, so some of the issues are weather related, but I have played 6 other courses in the are within the last few weeks and this course why by far the worst condition. Hitting in between the tees and greens was like hitting off of mats on concrete at the driving range. The greens were in good shape, but golfers at this course have done a terrible job at repairing pitch marks, and the course does not make up for it. There are also 12-16 dead trees that need to be removed from along the fairways.
The pace of play was terrible. There were four large groups in front of my group. two of the groups had folks riding along with the golfers. Some of the golfers were kids, which is great for the game, but the groups were holding play up. These groups could have played something like Texas scramble to help keep up pace of play, while allowing the players to hit all of their shots. We asked if we could start on #10, so that we could play at pace, but were told no. We were teeing off before 9am, so there was maybe one group on the back by then, and when we got finished after lunch, there were not even groups waiting to tee off #1. 2 of those slow groups also only played 9 holes, so they could have had them tee off on 10, and everyone would have moved better.
The price here was great, but the course and pace/service were lacking.
