Not worth it
Overall, the course is short (par 66) and fairly well maintained. Prior to peek season the price was $23 for 18 and a cart. It is now $32 and definitely not worth it. You can play much more challenging courses for that price. If you are a beginner golfer this course is great.
Basic course for beginners, seniors, novices
There's not many options for good golf courses in this area, many being for average play on average courses. This one is short, but it's not a bad little course overall. The fairways aren't well defined because of lack of trees and low rough. Greens were in pretty good shape. Bunkers were again, average but not in horrible shape. As long as you visit with the idea of a good practice round and nothing notable as far as design, challenge or pretty venues, you'll be fine.
Having said that, it is actually in good shape compared to some others I've played there. I have relatives in the area so I play when visiting sometimes. You could do worse.
The only part I thought odd was calling this a links course. It has few trees, but no wind swept areas, no mounds of fescue, etc. It is open if you like or need that.
some challenging shots
Course is very challenging with quite a few blind shots and tough lies. Keep the ball in the short grass or lies become even more challenging. Had a decent scoring round that couldve been better. Next time and yes I said next time, I will play much better here. I recommend this course to all skill levels.
Surprizing better than expected
course was in exellant shape,a bit challangeing, greens were beautiful and more tricky than they looked, some blind tee shots, overall a real fun course, will go again.
Nice short course.
Good course to work on your short game and accuracy, especially on the back 9.
Very nice course
This is a very nice course to enjoy the game of golf. It has some tough holes and some easy holes. Very open & hilly. I live about 30 miles away but I'll play there often next year 2015. Very nice people working the club house also.
Really liked the course.
Played here while visiting my son at Bloomsburg University. The course was a great value. Good service and the was in excellent shape. The views and the scenic finishing hole was amazing. My only negatives were blind shots, no GPS, and a couple of the holes were quite close to each other. Overall though it's a really nice course.
Fun round of golf!
Great course, challenging and forgiving at the same time
A Nice course to play
Greens and fairways were in great shape. Had a really good time, No one was pressing from behind and I would definitely play this course again
Fun, Challenging yet forgiving
After taking a long hiatus from golfing I'm back in full swing. I have been playing at the links weekly and always have a great time. Staff members are outgoing and knowledgeable. The course plays well and doesn't punish me for a pushed drive or overshot green. Price is fair. The restaurant is fantastic as well. I will continue to play this course as much as possible.
A good course for the average golfer
The course was in good condition. The fairways and greens were mowed and well kept. It is a smaller course, but it still has some challenging holes. It is a good course to shoot a fairly low score.
The Links
Short course. Lots of par 3's which makes it challenging to save par each time. Short par 4's and a couple long par 5's. #18 is one of nicest holes in the area. Repeat customer for sure. Fun course and great staff.
well cared for
The service was great. The course was maintained well. greens cut close. Tee boxes were cleaned up. I didn't lose one ball, that says a lot about the overall rough and out of bounds,it was cut and clean. really great course.
To tight
Greens and fairways ok,course was packed around a housing development . Was not sure on a few holes, witch green to aim at, had to take cover on 2 tee boxes because to close to other greens. Had to start on back side, there were 2 sets of 6 players each in front of us reminded us of a frat party.
We will not return!
Short but requires shot placement. Greens can get you if you are not careful
This is an excellent short course. The course requires a high degree of shot placement, or you will be hitting a side hill lie. The greens are deceptive and the fall line is not where you would expect. Driver is not required except for about three holes.
Hey Scott,
I am sorry you were put in the middle of a tournament. GolfNow was not authorized to sell the tee time that you had booked. We called after your review last year and had the issue resolved. We are known for our pace of play and open facility. I hope you will come back and enjoy our course sometime again soon.
