Bluebear
Very nice course for the price. Pace of play was slow. Needs starter to group up twosomes. Will play again and nice layout.
Want to play again
Course was in ok shape, time of year with aerations etc, so I give a pass for that. Would love to play mid summer. Each hole is cut out nicely and none look the same. I found back 9 alot tighter and tougher than front 9. Saw a bear too.
Love this course
It was cold and wet as expected, but got to play a few weeks before they typically open for the season. Course is in great shape all things considered and it's the best pace of play I've ever had there.
Love the layout and the weather made the course play even longer. I'll be back in the summer, just wish pace could always be as good as it was today!
If it was like this in November, what is it like in June?
Thoroughly enjoyed the round there today. Even at the end of the season, the course played fairly and presented a challenging, but not punishing, experience. Some people skydive for milestone birthdays (today was my 50th); I chose to play from the tips instead (my idea of a challenge) just for the fun of it. And it was a treat! I never felt like I was in over my head, but even better, i felt challenged to plan out each shot beforehand. Greens rolled very nicely -- again, despite the late-season conditions (people, please repair your ball marks!) and had some very subtle and/or surprising breaks to them -- but never unfair! Truly one of the best tracks I have ever played. Also friendly and very welcoming people on the staff, as were the "regulars" who were there as well. I look forward to playing with you at Jack Frost when you get there, as I will be back as often as possible.
November golf
Had a tee time for 10:10 but there was a frost delay. About an hour wait but it wasn't too bad, warmed up a little also. Carr path only kinda sucked but it was wet n muddy. Always great shape, bring the leaf blower next time!
Too slow!!!
8.30 on a Sunday morning...first 6 groups an "outing" of 24 young guys. They played very slow and rangers didn't do anything. 5 hour 15 minute round. Unacceptable and the fault of course management! The course layout is great and so would have really enjoyed it but pace of play made it a bad experience.
Test your skills
This track is narrow, fast, and full of uneven lies. A beautiful track that challenges your skills, especially around the greens.
Very good overall.
As a first timer to JF, my overall experience was quite good. The staff was great, and the course was in good shape despite being extremely wet. The pace of play was quite slow, mostly due to a cart path only restriction.
Fun course, whacky pin placements!
Overall this is the best course in the Poconos! Every hole is beautiful and manicured pristinely! The greens are very large but the pins were put in truly unfair places! We counted at least 5 that were on the side of a ridge. A little on the pricier side but worth it if you want a high quality course!
