Situated midway between Belvidere and Oxford, Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club has been recognized as one of New Jersey's must-play courses. The course was built on an apple orchard, providing fragrant apple blossoms in the spring and colorful foliage in the fall. The unique design was built on a hillside, which in itself presents many challenges to golfers. The dramatic elevation changes from pin to green present difficult lies on the approach shot. There is no sand on the golf course, but with water on 11 holes, and demanding greens, sand traps will hardly be missed. A local magazine dubbed Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club's signature 17th hole one of the most perfect in the state. This par-6 hole was once the site of a ski slope. The hole doglegs down a mountain with treacherously positioned trees along the right.

Had better days
Played this course quite a bit last year, best bang for your buck. Bragged about it being some of the vest greens I’ve played in. This year so far a huge disappointment with the course. Hope if gets better!!!
Lots of ups and downs
The course is basically a converted apple orchard set on a hilly terrain. So on many of the holes you are going up or down the mountain. Many holes seem similar. Fairway grass was kinda moist. Lots of mud on the balls. The staff members were extremely friendly and the food in the restaurant was very good and priced reasonably. There isn't much sand on the course, which is a good thing for me. The greens were in great shape. We golfed in mid November so the leaves and low sun angle made it a little difficult to find your ball. The course was fairly empty. Actually we saw more deer than golfers. The autumn views on the elevated holes were spactular.
My golf game is in the toilet these days, but the afternoon at Apple Mountain was a relaxing time, on a beautiful mountain, with really good food.
Poor Management
We were waiting 35 minutes at each hole. Way overbooked the day. Had a tournament and also had tee times that day. People were blaring music and cursing. If they are going to have a tournament like that, then shut the course down. Took us over 6 hours to play!
Great course for the money with amazing views
Golf on a classic course with awesome views. Tons of up and down elevation changes. Nothing better than teeing off from the top of a hill and having an awesome view of the Delaware Water Gap.
Apple mountain
Great value. Not in terrific shape, nice enough greens/slow but kinda have to be-enormously sloped at times..beautiful views. Open-nice if you've been spraying off the tee :)
In my top 3 NJ/PA courses
I play my best golf at this course. It's a driver's paradise - many nice tee shot opportunities. Some greens are domed and elevated which adds a challenge to it. Just something about this course clicks with me - I like it a lot & the twilight rate can't be beat. Course is in fine shape this year. Just be careful on the green on the 2nd hole - some crazy slope there. I call the first 3 holes the gauntlet - if you can get through them with bogies, you'll be on your way to a good day...
Good course
Good course for the price course & greens are in good shape
Apple
Asked for Cigar. No
Wanted some food before round it literally took 30 minutes to get 2 hot dogs and sandwich and fries.
Then after Round was told the bar was reserved by someone so I must leave by 5:00 PM while I waited for salad??
Very weird business practices?
I have played all over the world and this place is weird.
Apple Mt ripe for the picking
I play here a lot. Consistently good conditions. There is enough challenge here for even single digit handicaps. Elevated greens poise the biggest trouble. The lone sandtrap is tucked behind the 18th green. Under 4 hours to play on a Sunday. Hard to beat.
The Putting Green was good, but faire way was not so good.
Great Course
First time and I loved it. Will be going back often!
Find in the Woods
Apple mountain was a great surprise for us, the course was in excellent condition and everyone was friendly there, Food was very good, Would go back had a great day
This comment is not just for Apple Mountain. We love the Golf Now app and hot deals. However, on some of the courses, we kind of get lectured and feel like second class golfers because we went through GN for our tee times. We get told, we don't know what you pay, we don't get a dime. Also, we may get there early and no one on the tee, and they make us wait for the other twosome from GN, around 30 mins.
Your customer service is awesome!!!!
Could be great
course could be great - views fantastic - greens good - however dandelions all over - cart paths are unrideable - carts are old and beaten up - great potential as a $45 course with excellent restaurant and views - byt undermaintained
Terrible customer service and conditions
I was charged 10$ a person more than the price that was shown on golf now and when I said something the man behind the counter told me he would not fix it. A lot of the holes are poorly taken care of, the views are ruined by old trailers that are left behind some of the teeboxes. Tee boxes were chopped to pieces we had to tee off 10 feet back in some boxes just to have grass to hit off of. You are better off spending the extra 20 and play architects or Morgan hill. This is not worth 45 for a round of golf here
