I need H2O
Course was in beautiful shape. Tee boxes and fairways were clean and in nice condition. Greens rolled true. Best putting round I've had in a while. Only complaint was that it was 90+ degrees out and every water cooler along the way was empty!! Definitely going back, especially if I can find another sweet deal!
great job on maintenance
Didn't have to deal with uncut grass, leaves or long grass on greens, not even after two days of rain.
nice course
Was a lot of fun very nice course and challenging due to very fast greens and a lot of them have slopes and valleys...the day I played pin placement was very tough a lot of them were tucked in corners
great fall golf
This course was in great shape.. very little amount of leaves to worry about. Even if you are off the fairway. I will definitely play there again
Pleasent Surprise
Had not heard anything about thie course, and took a chance. Course was in good condition with heavy rough. The greens were great and put a big emphasis on where you hit your approach shots. Looking forward to going back. Bunkers need some sand. Bonus, Green fees were terrific, $28 for senior riding!
Very nice
Greens were excellent. Tee box was back on #6 Trees need to be trimmed to make that a fair tee shot from blue markers. Other than that absolutely great
Iron Lakes
Nice mature course with a great layout but lots of players so you will need patience many days even off times.
Good price but course needs more care
This is good not-too-long course, and good for practice / game with friends. Short course but has enough trap/water/trees. No need of long tee shots but needs straight shots.
After rain, rough is long, as well as green and fairway are not mowed too. need some care.
Great to play with Golf now deal price!!
Great conditions
iron Lakes has been a staple in my course selection since I started playing golf. The course is in the best condition it has ever been in but still has plenty of shortcomings. It will never be a resort course but is a good value as a local course. Greens, fairways and rough are in great shape. The plentiful conifers lining the fairways make for some challenges. Love the water carry par 3s.
Loved it All!
I have not a single complaint about this golf course. It was it very nice condition, perfect for any skill level with open fairways and water that make it a challenge for anyone. We got paired with another twosome who played the course regularly and said they still found some of the holes to be difficult.
Oh and the price. What a great value. $35 on a Friday, are you serious? It's not much more for a weekend tee time. Been recommending it to friends since I've played here, can't wait to go back.
Has Potential
It's a nice challenging course That needs more attention. The sand traps are the worse I've seen . Some times there's drinking water on the course and other times not. Not sure about beverage carts...haven't seen one. There is no driving range at the course!! You dont see that too often. I think it's a little pricey for what you get.
Getting better
This is the course I grew up playing on so it holds a little sentimental value. The course from the whites is pretty easy but go to the blues and the course can be quite fun and challenging. The one problem is they don't maintain the course to play it properly! Please trim the trees on #'s 2 and 6. All in all it's a fun inexpensive track. By the way you can go over the top on 13 and come up with an easy bird!
